Kaleidescape Expands Its Movie Server Line with Kaleidescape Terra Prime 96TB and Terra Prime 72TB

Kaleidescape, a leading provider of home movie servers, has expanded its Terra Prime series with the introduction of the Kaleidescape Terra Prime 96TB and Terra Prime 72TB movie servers. These latest additions offer unprecedented storage capacities, catering to cinephiles and home theater enthusiasts who demand access to vast libraries of high-quality films.

The Terra Prime series has long been synonymous with top-tier performance and accessibility in the realm of home cinema. With the Terra Prime 96TB and 72TB servers, Kaleidescape continues its tradition of providing cutting-edge solutions for storing and accessing movies at home.

"Kaleidescape continues to innovate, delivering hardware improvements and frequent automatic software updates, to enrich customers' movie-watching experience," said Tayloe Stansbury, chairman & CEO of Kaleidescape. "These new servers enable customers to build robust libraries encompassing movies, TV series, and concerts with lossless audio and full reference video."

Boasting enhanced board designs and faster processing power, the new Kaleidescape Terra Prime servers promise improved system performance and faster movie downloads. Notably, the Terra Prime servers are equipped with enterprise-class hard disk drives, chosen for their reliability and performance, ensuring seamless operation for users.

A standout feature of the Terra Prime series is its support for 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, making it the only dedicated movie server in its class to offer such high-speed connectivity. This ensures swift and efficient data transfers, allowing users to download high-bitrate 4K movies in as little as eight minutes, provided they have access to high-speed internet.

The Kaleidescape Terra Prime servers come in both full-size and compact versions, catering to different home theater setups. The full-size Terra Prime HDD 96TB can store approximately 1,600 Kaleidescape high-bitrate 4K movies, while the 72TB variant offers storage for around 1,200 movies of similar quality.

Additionally, Kaleidescape offers models with smaller storage capacities, including the Prime 48TB, compact HDD 22TB, and 8TB versions, catering to varying user needs.

For those looking to transition their existing DVD and Blu-ray collections into digital format, Kaleidescape offers a Disc-to-Digital program. This initiative enables users to enjoy the benefits of the Kaleidescape ecosystem without the need to repurchase every movie at full price, providing added convenience and value for cinephiles.

Furthermore, Kaleidescape's Ultimate 4K System now includes two Terra Prime 96TB servers preloaded with every 4K title available on the Kaleidescape movie store at the time of shipment. This comprehensive offering ensures that users have access to a vast library of high-quality content right out of the box, enhancing their home theater experience.

The Terra Prime series also includes Solid-State Drive (SSD) models, ideal for marine and state-of-the-art installations requiring multiple playback zones and high-speed Ethernet connectivity.
