Fresh news from Klipsch this morning, the company has announced a new flagship for its Heritage speaker line. The Klipsch Jubilee takes the top spot away from the Klipschorn, it is the company's most powerful and pricey speaker.

The Jubilee is a 100% horn-loaded design that offers tremendous efficiency. Consequently, it can achieve high output levels with minimal wattage. But it is also a large and powerful speaker with dual 12-inch horn-loaded woofers and a new compression driver that features a 7-inch titanium diaphragm. Also, the new Jubilee is an active speaker design, including a built-in DSP crossover network plus EQ. This approach is said to tackle phase cancellation and allows—demands, really—the use of multiple amplifiers for power.

This bar-raising speaker comes with a 10-year warranty and is made of grain-matched wood veneer panels (from the same timber, says Klipsch) so each speaker pair has the same wood grain characteristics making them a true pair. as for pricing and availability, you can order them now and the cost is $35,000 per pair.

Highlights according to Klipsch:

  • A patented, horn-loaded, vented, low-frequency enclosure that delivers unrivaled dynamics and clean bass from its dual 12” woofers and three 4” ports.
  • An all-new, horn-loaded, compression driver with a 7” axiperiodic titanium diaphragm provides wide bandwidth for seamless clarity and accuracy.
  • Each component is specifically optimized to operate in its individual pass-band, making it one of the most efficient loudspeakers on the planet.
  • An active crossover network ensures the highest degree of accurate, true-to-life sound reproduction through a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) and equalizer. It enables using separate amplifiers for the high frequency and low-frequency speakers, eliminates phase cancellation in the crossover region, and may be shelf or rack-mounted.
  • Two standard real-wood veneer finishes — satin black ash and American walnut to complement modern furnishings.
