From DALI and Lenbrook
DALI Loudspeakers has confirmed the appointment of Lenbrook International for distribution of their entire product line in the U.S. market. This appointment will see Lenbrook handling all aspects of sales, service and support for DALI with an effective date of February 1, 2018.
Lenbrook International is the owner of esteemed audio brands NAD Electronics, PSB Speakers, and Bluesound HRA multi-room products with a long history of distribution development across North America. It is also a channel partner of the Bang & Olufsen PLAY brand with responsibility for the U.S. specialty hifi channel.
Lenbrook has been building its U.S.-based channel and brand development competencies since it first acquired NAD Electronics’ distribution subsidiary over 25 years ago. As a result, Lenbrook’s relationships and reach into the specialty dealer channel will serve DALI’s existing customers well. Importantly, the company has the capital base and organizational depth to penetrate the marketplace and grow the network.
DALI has taken a determined and disciplined approach to the speaker market and is growing extremely quickly in key European and Asian markets, successfully competing head-on with category leaders like Bowers & Wilkins, Focal, and Dynaudio among others. The appointment of Lenbrook as its distributor reveals DALI’s intent to replicate this success in the U.S. market.
Lars Worre, CEO of DALI Loudspeakers, commented, “We are delighted to partner up with a distributor with the credentials and knowledge that Lenbrook has in a market which is very important to DALI. To meet the demands of the changing climate in the U.S. market we needed a substantive and well-established business partner who understands DALI’s potential and is able to bring existing channel relationships and proven brand management capabilities to bear. The Lenbrook organization is the ideal fit for us in our quest to penetrate the US market.”
“DALI is one of those tangible, vertically integrated loudspeaker companies with a broad array of product, its own manufacturing facilities, and an outstanding reputation and following from audiophiles and critical press,” says Gord Simmonds, President & CEO of The Lenbrook Group.
Simmonds elaborates further on the perfect fit of DALI into the Lenbrook portfolio by saying, “We will continue our plans to grow Bluesound aggressively and modernize and reshape NAD and PSB with the BluOS HRA multi-room platform. The addition of DALI to our distribution portfolio will allow us to expand our offerings so we can grow our reach and create stronger relationships with specialty audio and custom installation dealers at a time when the channel is looking for stable partners committed to long-term brand building.”
DALI (Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries) was established in 1983 and grew out of Scandinavia’s leading audio retail chain. Now distributed in 65 countries, and with more than 30 years of experience and global recognition, DALI holds unwavering dedication to sound that has advanced the state of the art, inspiring music and cinema lovers and challenging the competition to catch up. DALI is driven by raw passion for music and an honest reproduction in the domestic environment. Continuous development and refinement of new technologies remains core to DALI’s quest to create the best loudspeakers in the world.
