LG Electronics has unveiled its highly anticipated lineup of 2024 QNED TVs and QNED Mini LED TVs. The LG 2024 QNED TVs, headlined by an ultra-large 98-inch model, promise to redefine the viewing experience with impressive features, including the α8 AI Processor, enhanced AI-driven picture quality, webOs upgrades, and an array of screen sizes to suit every home.
At the heart of the LG 2024 QNED TVs is the α8 AI Processor, a technological marvel offering significant advancements over its predecessor. This processor boasts a 1.3-fold increase in AI performance, a 2.3-fold enhancement in graphics, and a processing speed that is 1.6 times faster. These improvements ensure a smoother, more dynamic viewing experience.
LG's AI Picture Pro technology should further elevate picture quality. Utilizing deep learning algorithms, enhances the textures and details of faces, objects, and backgrounds, delivering images with remarkable realism, according to the company. The Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro feature divides the picture into blocks for real-time analysis, optimizing HDR content for a three-dimensional quality.
The LG 2024 QNED TVs are not just about visuals. The AI Sound Pro feature produces virtual 9.1.2 surround sound from the TV's built-in speakers, creating an enveloping audio experience. Additionally, the WOW Orchestra feature integrates LG Sound Bar with the TV speakers, offering a harmonious and immersive 3D sound experience.
Featuring LG’s Quantum Dot and NanoCell color technologies, these TVs provide stunning, vivid picture quality. The QNED Mini LED TVs, particularly the QNED90 model, feature Precision Dimming technology and Million Grey Scale for vibrant contrast and gradation with exceptional accuracy, the company claims.
Boasting a slim profile of only 29mm, the LG 2024 QNED TVs, including the QNED85 and QNED80 models, offer a sleek and sophisticated design. These TVs can be wall-mounted, offering flexibility in room arrangement.
The webOS Re:New program, extending to 2022’s QNED Mini LED 8K models (QNED99 and QNED95 series), offers an upgrade to the latest version of LG's webOS smart TV platform. This ensures that users enjoy the most up-to-date user experience for the next five years.
The new webOS platform allows users to create individual profiles, offering personalized recommendations and a unique user interface.
The LG 2024 QNED TVs come equipped with various accessibility features. The TVs support Apple AirPlay and Chromecast, enhancing connectivity and compatibility with mobile devices.
The 2024 lineup addresses the growing demand for larger TVs in the premium LCD TV market, with sizes ranging from 43 to the impressive 98 inches. Baik Seon-pill, head of the LG Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division, emphasizes that the new lineup is designed to cater to each individual's unique lifestyle and preferences.
“The LG 2024 LG QNED TV lineup takes the viewing experience to a whole new level with an advanced processor that enables outstanding audio-visual experiences across various screen sizes, while also providing a personalized user experience tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle and preferences,” said Baik Seon-pill. “We remain committed to delivering an unparalleled customer experience, drawing upon our decade-long expertise with webOS.”
