LG Electronics has announced the forthcoming release of its latest projector, the LG CineBeam Q. Initially showcased at CES 2024, this new projector promises to deliver a cinematic experience coupled with portability and aesthetic appeal.
Scheduled for global pre-orders starting March 18, with availability commencing in South Korea this month and subsequently expanding to other key markets including the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, France, the UK, various Asian countries, and the Gulf region from April, the LG CineBeam Q is set to make waves in the projector market.
Formerly known as the CineBeam Qube, the projector underwent a name change ahead of its global release. While specific pricing details remain undisclosed, LG has introduced an enticing promotion offering a $100 discount for pre-order customers who provide their email addresses.
Boasting a 4K picture quality that can stretch up to 120 inches diagonal, the LG CineBeam Q sets a new standard for home projection systems. With a remarkable 450,000:1 contrast ratio and covering 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, the device ensures stunning visuals that faithfully represent the creator's intent.
One of the key features of the CineBeam Q is its integration of LG's webOS operating system, providing seamless access to a plethora of streaming services. This, coupled with a minimum image size of 50 inches, offers users a versatile viewing experience that caters to various preferences and environments.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor settings, the LG CineBeam Q emphasizes portability and flexibility. Its compact form factor, complemented by a 360-degree rotatable handle, allows for easy transportation and setup, enabling users to enjoy their favorite content wherever they desire.
However, it's important to note that the CineBeam Q relies solely on external power sources and does not feature a built-in battery. The projector's auto-focus and keystone correction capabilities further enhance the viewing experience by automatically adjusting image placement and size, minimizing setup hassles, and maximizing immersion.
Nevertheless, users should be mindful that auto-screen adjustment may not function optimally under certain conditions, such as distances exceeding 2 meters or angles exceeding 25 degrees.
Beyond its technical prowess, the LG CineBeam Q doubles as a stylish interior accessory, seamlessly blending into any living space with its minimalistic design. Its Light Drawing function adds an artistic touch, projecting captivating digital images onto walls and elevating the ambiance of any room.
In a statement, YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Business Solutions, highlighted the projector's uniqueness and its ability to deliver unparalleled cinematic experiences anytime, anywhere.
“The LG CineBeam Q stands out as a truly unique projector, not only for its exceptional picture quality and impressive visuals but also for its ability to seamlessly blend into any home environment as a stunning art piece,” said YS Lee. “Content lovers will be delighted by the portability of the projector lineup, which delivers unparalleled cinematic viewing experiences anytime, anywhere.”
