LG Introduces Three New Soundbars for 2024: The LG S95TR, SG10TY, and S70TY

LG has made an early announcement regarding its 2024 lineup of soundbars, just ahead of the highly anticipated CES 2024 event. The three new models, which include the LG S95TR, SG10TY, and S70TY, bring several noteworthy features and improvements to the table.

A significant highlight of this new range is the introduction of wireless connectivity to the midrange models, thanks to an updated technology called WOWCAST, which is incorporated into all three models.

The flagship LG S95TR stands out with its impressive five up-firing channels, totaling 15 channels and delivering a substantial 810 watts of audio output. Notably, this soundbar features a center up-firing speaker meticulously calibrated to ensure a seamless audio-visual experience, aligning the sound precisely with the TV screen's level.

LG has also improved the tweeters and included a passive radiator to enhance the overall sound quality. Additionally, the LG S95TR boasts a matte color palette and finish aimed at minimizing reflections that could potentially disrupt the viewing experience.

The SG10TY soundbar is tailored to complement LG's OLED televisions. It offers wireless capabilities and includes Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling users to stream high-quality music through services like Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect. The SG10TY also features LG's WOW technology suite, which encompasses WOW Orchestra, WOW Interface, and full WOWCAST for a cable-free installation.

Designed to pair seamlessly with LG's QNED televisions, the S70TY soundbar includes a custom bracket option, allowing it to become an integral part of the QNET TV when wall-mounted (bracket sold separately). This innovative feature provides a convenient solution for attachment without the need for wall drilling, and it offers flexibility in terms of mounting height and location.

Furthermore, LG has introduced an AI Room Calibration system designed to fine-tune the audio performance of the rear speakers, enhancing the overall listening experience.

LG has always been committed to delivering unmatched audio-visual experiences with superior quality, all to bring a better life to our valued customers,” Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Home Entertainment Company’s audio business, said in a press release.

“We remain dedicated to providing immersive home entertainment experiences through LG’s premium soundbar products, ensuring our customers enjoy the very best with further enhanced surround sound optimized for LG OLED TVs and LG QNED TVs.”

In addition to the soundbars, LG is expanding its audio product range with new speakers and earbuds. The LG X02 portable speaker builds upon the omnidirectional sound of the LG XBOOM 360, offering a 20-hour battery life, an IP55 rating against dust and water, and 360-degree mood lighting.

The updated LG TONE Free earbuds, known as the T90S, come with improved Dolby head tracking and refined adaptive active noise cancellation. Notably, the T90S supports Plug & Wireless functionality, enabling users to connect to non-Bluetooth devices by using the charging case as a Bluetooth transmitter.

While LG has not yet disclosed pricing or availability details for these new audio products, consumers can anticipate a more immersive audio experience to complement their LG televisions. Furthermore, there is a strong possibility that LG will unveil new television models in the near future to complement these audio enhancements.

Interested consumers can find out more about LG S95TR, SG10TY, and S70TY soundbars, and other latest innovations and technologies for home entertainment during the CES 2024 from January 9-12 at the company’s booth (#15501, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center).
