Founded in 1971 by Ivor Tiefenbrun in Glasgow, Scotland, Linn's foundation firmly rests on a love of music, and the benefits it provides to people when enjoyed at its highest reproductive level. It executes this belief with formidable, exhaustive engineering and product offerings on a system-wide level, from the source to the loudspeakers and virtually everything in between.

Linn pioneered the source-based concept of system building in the early days of hi-fi, exemplified by the introduction its venerable Linn Sondek LP12 turntable, a product still in production to this day and still considered by many as the finest turntable ever made. Linn designs and manufactures every aspect of its products in-house, and uses an integrated, holistic, systemic approach in its products where the whole is often even greater than the already world-class sum of its parts.

Linn products are known for superior performance, aesthetics, and build quality, along with a elegant, simplistic sensibility and lifestyle-oriented package.
