Lutron Electronics, a famous name in lighting control solutions, has introduced its latest product, the Diva Smart Dimmer ELV+. This new product is designed to enhance low-voltage lighting applications and broaden the capabilities of the Caséta family. Alongside this, Lutron has also unveiled six new color options for its Pico Paddle Remote Controls, offering more aesthetic flexibility for users and installers alike.

The Diva Smart Dimmer ELV+ is specifically engineered for low-voltage lighting, such as under-cabinet, track, accent, and tape lighting. However, its versatility doesn't end there. The dimmer is capable of handling a variety of residential lighting types and loads, including LED, magnetic low-voltage (MLV), halogen, and incandescent lighting. This makes it a valuable tool for professional installers who frequently encounter multiple load types on the same job.

The "ELV+" designation signifies the dimmer's compatibility with electronic low-voltage (ELV) lighting, a technology that requires reverse-phase dimming. The dimmer is phase-selectable, allowing installers to switch between forward-phase and reverse-phase dimming depending on the lighting type. For those looking to expand their lighting control options, the dimmer can be paired with Lutron's Pico Paddle Remote. This remote offers additional convenience, acting as a second switch without the need for additional wiring. It can be used as a handheld device, placed on a tabletop pedestal, or mounted on the wall.

The remote operates on a 10-year battery and does not require Wi-Fi or a hub to function, though pairing it with Lutron’s Caséta Smart Bridge can unlock more advanced smart home features.

According to Adam Mack, Senior Product Manager at Lutron, the development of the Diva Smart Dimmer ELV+ was driven by feedback from professional integrators who sought a more versatile and aesthetically pleasing dimmer with ELV+ technology.

This new addition to the Caséta line addresses those needs, making it easier for installers to offer sophisticated lighting solutions without compromising on design or functionality.

“The new Diva smart dimmer ELV+ complements our recent launches including the Diva smart dimmer and the Pico paddle remote, helping to round out the family of products,” Mack says.
