madVR Labs, renowned for its high-performance video processors tailored for media rooms and home theaters, has unveiled its latest offering: the Envy Core. This new addition to the madVR Envy lineup promises to deliver the acclaimed video processing quality at a more accessible price point.
The Envy Core will make its debut at the Audio Advice Live event in Raleigh, N.C., from August 2-4, and will also be showcased at CEDIA 2024. It is set to begin shipping in Fall 2024, with pre-orders now available at introductory prices through authorized dealers worldwide.
"We are thrilled to introduce the Envy Core, our more affordable Envy model, which makes our innovative video processing technology accessible to a wider audience" said Richard Litofsky, Co-founder & CEO of madVR Labs.
"The market has been asking for an affordable option that packs the core functionality from our high-end models, and the Envy Core delivers just that. This launch is a testament to our continual innovation and commitment to providing unparalleled performance and exceptional value to our customers."
The Envy Core distinguishes itself with its compact size and affordability. Priced at an introductory rate of $4,995 in the USA through December 31, 2024 (with a subsequent MSRP of $5,995), it aims to offer exceptional value.
The device measures just 17.25” x 13.5” x 3.5” (2U) and weighs only 20 pounds, making it suitable for a variety of setups, including small cabinets or behind TVs. Despite its reduced dimensions, the Envy Core packs the power of an Nvidia 4060 GPU, ensuring it runs efficiently without compromising on performance.
One of the key selling points of the Envy Core is its price/performance ratio. madVR Labs has designed this model to provide video processing quality that rivals and even surpasses more expensive counterparts from other manufacturers.
This makes the technology accessible to a broader audience, including those with more modestly priced TVs, projectors, media rooms, and home theater systems. The Envy Core brings the esteemed madVR Envy processing within reach for consumers who might have found the higher-end Envy Pro MK2 and Envy Extreme MK2 models beyond their budget.
The Envy Core offers a comprehensive range of features, including the intuitive interface and user-friendly menu system found in its more advanced siblings, the Envy Pro and Extreme. This ensures quick installation and straightforward operation, appealing to both novices and seasoned users.
Moreover, the device will receive regular firmware updates, introducing ongoing improvements and new features. Some advanced features will be available to users who opt for the aftermarket Core Premium Package, priced at $995. This package not only adds additional features and enhancements but also doubles the warranty period from two to four years, significantly enhancing the unit's value.
The Envy Core comes with a standard 2-year warranty on parts and labor, which extends to 4 years with the purchase of the Core Premium Package. This warranty period begins from the date of purchase and is fully transferable to new owners if the unit is sold. madVR Labs offers comprehensive customer support, backed by the same high standards that their customers have come to expect.
Additionally, the free madVR Envy Academy Online training course is available to help users quickly master the device and tailor it to their preferences.
madVR Labs has ensured that the Envy Core is future-proof, with users set to receive regular firmware updates. While some advanced features will be exclusive to the Envy Pro and Envy Extreme, the Core Premium Package users will benefit from certain future enhancements, ensuring that the Envy Core remains a competitive and valuable component of any media setup.
"We are incredibly excited about the Envy Core. It allows us to bring the unmatched quality of the madVR Envy video processing to more moderately priced media rooms and home theaters. The compact form factor and lower price point are particularly attractive for such installations," said Jeff Galea, President and CEO of Boca Tech and Automation.
"The Envy Core is the perfect complement for installations across multiple TVs within a home, while the Envy Extreme MK2 will continue to serve as the centerpiece in the main theater. This addition strengthens our offerings and best meets the diverse needs of our customers."
