Marshall is kicking off the Year of the Snake with a splash of style. The brand has unveiled the Emberton III Lunar New Year Edition 2025, a bold, limited-edition take on its popular Bluetooth speaker. This eye-catching update celebrates the Lunar New Year with a fresh design created in collaboration with Chinese artist Dark Question.
The Emberton III Lunar New Year Edition is all about vibrant visuals and festive vibes. Inspired by vintage firecrackers and the psychedelic aesthetics of iconic music festivals like Woodstock, this special edition fuses traditional Lunar New Year themes with Marshall’s rock-and-roll DNA.
The packaging alone is a showstopper, featuring intricate illustrations tied to the Wood Snake, the zodiac symbol for 2025. The speaker itself gets a makeover, swapping its usual black-and-gold look for a striking green faux leather exterior, a bright orange grille, and a purple control knob. Of course, the classic gold Marshall logo stays put—because some things just shouldn’t change.
Beneath the festive design, it’s the same Emberton III that fans know and love. This compact speaker punches well above its weight with True Stereophonic sound, a multidirectional audio feature that makes it sound much bigger than it is. Whether you’re hosting a party or chilling at home, the Emberton III fills the space with clear, rich audio.
Another handy feature is dynamic loudness, which automatically adjusts the sound profile to keep the music balanced, even at lower volumes. And with over 32 hours of battery life, you won’t have to worry about the tunes cutting out mid-celebration. It’s also dustproof and waterproof with an IP67 rating, so it’s ready for anything—from living room dance-offs to backyard barbecues.
Jeremy De Maillard, CEO of Marshall Group, said: “As we enter the Year of the Snake, we wanted to honor Marshall’s musical legacy while delivering a joyful and unexpected product for everyone celebrating Lunar New Year.”
Technical Specifications:
Marshall’s Lunar New Year Edition is priced at £179/$189/AU$359, making it a touch more expensive than the standard model, priced at $169.99. Pre-orders are open now, with shipping starting on January 10, 2025, just ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
