Meridian Audio has announced the availability of its new DSP520 digital active in-wall loudspeaker, one of a new range of models introduced. The Meridian DSP520 in-wall offers the ability to create a discreet installation or mix and match them with Meridian's freestanding loudspeakers such as the newly updated DSP7200.

The DSP520 is built with the drivers mounted into the front extrusion of the enclosure itself, while a separate case houses the electronics and amplifiers.
The DSP520 can be mounted horizontally or vertically, in a wall or ceiling. It includes a paintable magnetic grille and offers scope for adjustment enabling the entire assembly to be fitted into almost any type of wall, blending with almost any décor.
The DSP520 uses Meridian's Wide Range Driver technology that reportedly eliminates the need for a crossover in the critical midrange producing life like vocals. Also featured are DSP settings to compensate for mounting behind fabric or projection screens. The DSP520 features Meridian's SpeakerLink technology for simple integration with the rest of the system.
The Meridian DSP520 is now available for $5,000.00 each.
