MoFi Distribution has announced the latest addition to its lineup of premium audio equipment, the MoFi Electronics SourcePoint 888 loudspeakers, designed by renowned loudspeaker engineer Andrew Jones. Set to debut at AXPONA 2024 in suite 334, these floorstanding speakers mark Andrew Jones' third loudspeaker release and the first floor stander collaboration with MoFi Electronics.

The SourcePoint 888 derives its name from its distinctive feature: three 8-inch drivers. Building upon the success of the SourcePoint 8 series, these speakers introduce two newly developed 8-inch woofers alongside the twin drive magnet structure, paper pulp cone, and concentrically mounted soft dome tweeter. 

This design enables the SourcePoint 888 loudspeakers to deliver exceptional bass extension and dynamics, with the additional woofers operating below 130Hz to optimize midrange and treble performance, enhancing overall sonic transparency.

Key to the SourcePoint 888's performance are its innovative design elements. The woofers employ dual opposing neodymium magnets, ensuring a linear and precisely controlled force for driving the cones. Each driver operates in individual isolated chambers within the rear-ported floorstanding cabinet, minimizing cabinet resonances and contributing to a cleaner sound output. 

Additionally, the speakers feature two sets of high-quality binding posts to support bi-wire and bi-amp connectivity options.

Andrew Jones, the mastermind behind the SourcePoint 888's design, expressed his vision for the project, stating, "My goal for the SourcePoint 888 is to enhance the technology and sound quality of the SourcePoint 8 and elevate it to an even higher performance level."
