Moovia, a German manufacturer specializing in ultra-luxury media furniture, is set to make its debut at the upcoming CEDIA Expo 2024, taking place from September 5 to 7 at the Colorado Convention Center. The brand will be featured in ASCENDO Sound Room 3 and Seymour-Screen Excellence Sound Room 4, showcasing its highly customizable and design-centric media seating options.
Moovia distinguishes itself from other media furniture manufacturers by prioritizing design and customization in its offerings. Unlike standard AV seating, which often focuses on basic comfort and functionality, Moovia’s approach allows for a much broader range of possibilities, both in design and technology. Each piece is crafted to meet the specific needs and desires of the client, offering a level of customization that extends beyond mere aesthetic choices.
“With our bespoke services, nothing is impossible. When we say bespoke, we not only mean that our clients can choose the armrest size, stitching color, or type of leather they like best. We mean they can create the exact viewing experience they’re looking for, wherever or whatever that might be,” says Frank Dlugos, managing director of Moovia. “Supersizing seats, experimenting with uncharted technologies, or tailoring our furniture to the organic lines of a luxury yacht, for example. We can do anything the client wants.”
Moovia's bespoke experience includes comprehensive design services that go far beyond the typical offerings in the media furniture market. Clients can benefit from 2D and 3D drawings of their seating layout and configuration, CAD integrations for home theater rooms, and mock-ups of the chosen furniture setup.
Additionally, the company provides technical support for the preparation, installation, and management of home theater spaces, along with photorealistic renderings of the entire area. This suite of services ensures that every detail aligns with the client’s vision, contributing to a fully tailored media environment.
At the CEDIA Expo, Moovia will present its LYON media sofa in ASCENDO Sound Room 3. The LYON sofa is described by Moovia's in-house designer, Dorottya Flóra Nagy, as being inspired by the "enchanting landscapes of the French countryside." The modular design of the LYON sofa allows it to adapt to spaces of any size, making it a versatile option for various room configurations.
Each piece is crafted in Moovia's factory, where modern technology meets traditional German craftsmanship. Clients have the opportunity to choose from hundreds of premium materials for their furniture, including high-quality leather, velvet, alcantara, and textiles from leading European manufacturers.
In addition to its focus on design, the LYON sofa is equipped with advanced technology, making it suitable for modern home entertainment setups. Features include touch-sensitive controls, compatibility with popular home automation systems like Crestron and Control4, as well as the Moovia SmartApp for remote operation. The sofa also offers various motorization options, further enhancing its functionality.
In Seymour-Screen Excellence Sound Room 4, Moovia will display its MARBELLA home theater seating as part of a demonstration of a hybrid audio-over-IP system. The MARBELLA seats are designed to evoke the atmosphere of Andalusia’s beaches and nightlife, combining simplicity and elegance with the comfort and functionality expected from high-end theater seating.
“MARBELLA brings the atmosphere of Andalusia’s breathtaking beaches, harbors, and nightlife, combining simplicity, elegance, and comfort with all the functionality you expect from home theater seating,” says Nagy. “Perfectly blending in with its surroundings, it’s equally at home in the living room, media room, or home theater.”
The MARBELLA seats offer a range of features aimed at enhancing the home theater experience. These include adjustable headrests and footrests, hidden control buttons, in-seat storage with an adjustable slide cover, and plush, decorative pillows. Users can control various aspects of the seating, such as massage functions, lighting design, and seat warming or cooling, through integrated home automation systems or the Moovia SmartApp.
CEDIA Expo attendees will have the opportunity to experience Moovia’s media furniture firsthand in Sound Rooms 3 and 4.
