The MW75 Neuro from Neurable and Master & Dynamic brings the power of brainwave tracking to headphones, enabling users to monitor their mental focus and manage burnout.

Neurable and Master & Dynamic Launch MW75 Neuro: First Consumer-Grade Brain-Computer Interface Headphones

Neurotechnology company Neurable Inc. and premium audio brand Master & Dynamic have introduced the MW75 Neuro, a cutting-edge pair of headphones that integrate advanced brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. As the first consumer-grade headphones of their kind, the MW75 Neuro aims to bring insights into cognitive health and daily productivity to the forefront of wearable technology. Available for purchase on Neurable’s and Master & Dynamic’s websites, this launch marks a significant development in the intersection of brain science and personal audio.

The MW75 Neuro builds on Master & Dynamic's existing flagship MW75 wireless headphones but with an innovative twist—Neurable’s AI-driven BCI technology. These headphones are equipped with electroencephalography (EEG) sensors embedded in the ear pads, allowing them to read and analyze brain signals. The data collected through these sensors is processed by Neurable’s AI platform to deliver insights on focus levels, productivity, and burnout management.

Unlike traditional headphones that only offer sound performance, the MW75 Neuro goes further by providing real-time cognitive feedback. The device’s ability to track brainwave patterns introduces a new level of user interaction, transforming how people engage with their mental well-being and performance. By utilizing this technology, users can gain detailed feedback on their focus levels and receive suggestions for enhancing concentration or taking necessary breaks.

At the heart of the MW75 Neuro is Neurable’s 10-year-in-development AI platform, which powers many of the headphone’s advanced features. The EEG sensors embedded in the headphones’ ear pads capture brain activity, providing valuable insights into mental focus and cognitive states. Neurable’s accompanying mobile app—available on both iOS and Android—offers a user-friendly interface where individuals can view brain trend summaries and receive productivity tips based on their brainwave data.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the MW75 Neuro is its focus tracking feature. The EEG sensors allow the device to monitor when users are most focused or distracted, highlighting optimal periods of concentration. Over time, users can gain a better understanding of how different activities, times of day, or environments impact their mental performance.

In addition to focus tracking, the headphones help with burnout management. By interpreting brainwave data, the MW75 Neuro can detect when mental fatigue sets in, prompting users to take breaks at optimal moments. This capability offers an innovative way to manage workload and avoid cognitive overload, especially for professionals and students who often deal with high-pressure tasks.

Despite its advanced brain-sensing features, the MW75 Neuro doesn’t compromise on its primary function: audio performance. The headphones incorporate Master & Dynamic’s hallmark 40mm Beryllium drivers, providing a rich and immersive sound experience. With Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, the headphones also offer a strong wireless connection with a range of up to 100 feet (30 meters), supporting advanced codecs like AAC and aptX adaptive.

In terms of design, the MW75 Neuro maintains the aesthetic and build quality Master & Dynamic is known for. The headphones come equipped with adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) that automatically adjusts to the environment, offering users a tailored audio experience whether they’re in a quiet office or a bustling street. Additionally, the eight built-in microphones help filter out external noise for clearer calls and enhanced voice clarity.

The headphones are available in four distinct color options: Silver, Onyx, Navy, and Olive, each packaged in a durable travel case for easy transport. Users can also access further customization and control through the M&D Connect app, which allows adjustments to EQ settings, noise cancellation modes, and firmware updates.

From a technical perspective, the MW75 Neuro boasts a comprehensive set of features aimed at enhancing both its audio and cognitive capabilities. The EEG sensors operate across 12 channels with a bandwidth of 0-131 Hz and utilize soft fabric materials for comfort during long sessions.

These sensors are built with True DC Coupling, enabling precise readings of brain activity. The brainwave data is processed in real time, offering users a window into their mental states with laboratory-level accuracy, according to Neurable.

For those looking to integrate the MW75 Neuro into their tech ecosystem, the headphones support multi-device pairing via Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring seamless switching between mobile devices, laptops, and other compatible electronics. This feature is particularly useful for individuals who use their headphones for both work and leisure.

The MW75 Neuro is priced at $699 and is now available for purchase in the United States through Neurable’s and Master & Dynamic’s websites. Consumers in Europe and the UK will have access to the product starting in Spring 2025, with pricing set at €729 and ₤629, respectively.
