Niles Audio was founded in 1978 and originally produced switching systems for audio retailers to easily demonstrate products. The company then evolved into whole-house audio switching and distribution systems, and eventually went on to dominate the then-infant custom installation industry.

Today, Niles remains one of the most important, influential, and widely distributed custom installation brands in the world, offering products across numerous categories including amplification, switching, distribution, cabling, automation, security, and satellite radio.
