From Optoma
Optoma is taking CES 2018 by storm with the first Alexa-enabled home theater projector. As smart home and IoT adoption and integration gain momentum, home theater enthusiasts now have the ability to integrate large-screen video into their Alexa ecosystem, tying in with speakers, lighting and more. With a continued focus on bringing new innovation to home theater projection that make it more accessible and mainstream, Optoma is also introducing and showcasing: a fully mobile 1080p high definition (HD) projector with an LED light source that delivers 1,300 lumens; new 4K-resolution, ultra high definition (UHD) home theater projectors, a segment that Optoma leads globally; and an ultra mobile pocket projector with 2+ hours of battery life.

The Optoma UHD51A 4K UHD voice-enabled home theater projector integrates with Amazon Alexa Smart Home and Custom Skills to enable projection to fluidly align with speakers, screen, lighting and more in any smart home setting. With 2,400 lumens, 500,000:1 contrast ratio, and an RGBRGB color wheel and HDR10 with Rec.2020 / DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut, the Optoma UHD51A packs a visual punch, with its clarity, brightness and eye-popping color. It also features a built-in 4K UHD media player and Android OS, along with a pair of HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 support to ensure compatibility with the latest 4K UHD video playback devices and game consoles with HDR at 60 Hz refresh rates for unmatched image smoothness. It will be available in late Q1 for an expected street price of $1,699.

The Optoma UHD51A will be shown with a Screen Innovations Solo portable smart screen, which features an intelligent, lithium-powered, rechargeable motor that enables up to 500 recharge cycles and over two years of use on a single charge. The Solo screen is completely wireless from both a power and control perspective, and has twelve color options.

At CES, Optoma will be unveiling and showcasing other new and innovative home theater projectors:

Optoma LED Pocket Projector: This ultra portable pocket projector delivers great performance in a tiny package. With WVGA (854x480) resolution and 300 lumens, it features a .2 LED RGB light source with a lifetime of 20,000 hours, HDMI port with MHL, and 2+ hours of battery life in eco-mode. Weighing in at less than 12 ounces, it has a miniscule form factor of approximately 3 inches by 4.5 inches and just over 1 inch height. It is scheduled to be on the market in Q2, with a target street price of $279.

"Optoma is continually focused on introducing more innovations to the home theater space, with everything from resolution and light sources, to form factor, features, and mobility - and now voice integration - to simplify the experience for consumers and deliver an inch-for-inch entertainment experience that TVs simply can't match," said Brian Soto, head of product management at Optoma Technology. "With smart home adoption on the rise, consumers are looking at non-traditional technology options that bring them a better entertainment experience, and Optoma home theater projection delivers this in spades."
