The MR4000 features eight surge-protected outlets -- seven rear panel plus a front-panel convenience outlet -- in addition to coaxial and LAN pass-through protection ports. For optimal A/V quality, the MR4000's Level 2 Noise Filtration reportedly eliminates common symptoms of contaminated power, including loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums, and visual artifacts. For complete power protection, AVM circuitry disconnects the power in unsafe conditions and automatically reconnects it when safe power returns. The unit's 1-RU design is graceful on a shelf, in a cabinet, or in a rack.

"The MR4000 represents the first Panamax component-level product to be offered for less than $200," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman. "It provides an incredible value for entry to mid-level home theater systems, where it is designed to keep A/V equipment performing at its full capability while reducing device failures and system downtime due to power problems. This also lowers long-term costs by decreasing equipment replacement and service calls. Despite its entry-level price, the MR4000 offers advanced technology with an inspired design that perfectly complements today's components, and brings a touch of class to any home theater system."

The MR4000 is available now at an MSRP of only $199.95.
