Philips’ 2025 TVs: More Brightness, More AI, and Some Big Surprises!

Philips has unveiled its 2025 TV lineup, and this year’s models bring major upgrades in brightness, AI-driven processing, and new display technologies across OLED, Mini LED, and QLED series.

Philips’ 2025 TVs: More Brightness, More AI, and Some Big Surprises!

Philips has unveiled its 2025 TV lineup, featuring a broad selection of OLED, Mini LED, and QLED models. The new range introduces advanced panel technologies, enhanced AI-driven processing, and upgraded Ambilight features. The top-tier OLED models, the OLED+950 and OLED+910, incorporate four-layer "Primary RGB Tandem" OLED panels, which promise significant brightness improvements.

Alongside these flagship OLEDs, Philips is also expanding its mid-range and entry-level options, with updates to Mini LED and QLED models. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.

Flagship OLED Models: OLED+950 and OLED+910

Leading Philips’ 2025 OLED lineup, the OLED+950 and OLED+910 feature the latest META 3.0 panel technology, developed in collaboration with LG Display. These panels deliver peak brightness levels of 3700 nits, a notable increase over last year’s models, and provide improved color accuracy, covering 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. They also incorporate an ultra-low reflectivity feature to reduce glare.

Both models run on the latest Google OS smart system and include Philips’ signature four-sided Ambilight technology. The OLED+950 and OLED+910 are powered by the 9th-generation P5 AI processor, introducing new AI-driven enhancements such as Adaptive Intelligence, which learns from metadata and environmental sensing to optimize picture settings automatically.

Additionally, a new Specular Highlight enhancement refines HDR highlights for more detailed contrast, while an AI Adaptive Gamut Enhancer fine-tunes colors to improve vibrancy without distorting skin tones.

Despite their similarities, the two flagship models have distinct features. The OLED+910 is equipped with a front-firing Bowers & Wilkins-designed sound system, featuring left, center, and right channels with dedicated midrange drivers and titanium dome tweeters. The 81W audio setup is further supported by a subwoofer and passive radiators, aiming for immersive sound quality.

The OLED+950, in contrast, uses a two-chip implementation of the P5 processor, allowing more real-time processing power for picture optimization. While it lacks the Bowers & Wilkins branding, it still offers a 2.1-channel 70W sound system with digital crossover technology and a rear-facing subwoofer.

Both models will launch later in the year, with the OLED+910 arriving in June in 55-, 65-, and 77-inch sizes, while the OLED+950 follows in September in 65- and 77-inch sizes.

Mid-Range OLEDs: OLED810 and OLED760

Below the flagship OLEDs, the OLED810 and OLED760 models bring OLED technology to a wider audience. The OLED810, set to launch in June, uses upgraded OLED_EX panels that achieve peak brightness levels of up to 1500 nits. It retains the 9th-gen P5 AI processor and features a three-sided Ambilight system. Audio output is handled by a 70W 2.1-channel system (50W on the 42-inch model).

The OLED760, Philips’ entry-level OLED for 2025, introduces a different approach by incorporating Titan OS instead of Google TV. It features the 7th-gen P5 AI processor but retains some of the new AI-driven enhancements found in higher-end models, such as Adaptive Intelligence and AI Adaptive Gamut Enhancer. The OLED760 supports 4K 120Hz gaming and offers four HDMI 2.1 ports.

Mini LED Models: MLED950 and MLED910

Philips is also expanding its Mini LED lineup, with the MLED950 and MLED910 models featuring high refresh rates and improved HDR performance. The MLED950, arriving in September in 65- and 75-inch sizes, boasts 1200 nits of peak brightness and 192 dimming zones. It features the Ambilight Plus system, which uses dome-shaped lenses to enhance light projection and create more immersive viewing experiences.

The MLED910, launching in May, offers a more affordable Mini LED option with 1000 nits of brightness and a three-sided Ambilight setup. Both models include the Titan OS platform and support variable refresh rates up to 144Hz. The MLED950 comes with a 60W 4.1 sound system, while the MLED910 varies by model size, with larger versions featuring a 50W 2.1 configuration.

QLED and LED Models: The One (PUS9000 Series)

Philips’ PUS9000 series, known as "The One," continues as a mid-range LED offering with QLED technology. Available in April in 43- to 85-inch sizes, these models feature three-sided Ambilight and 144Hz WCG LCD panels. The series integrates Quantum Dot technology for enhanced color reproduction and uses Philips’ P5 processor.

The audio configurations vary by size, with the 43-inch model featuring a 20W 2.0 system, while larger models include 40W 4.0 or 50W 2.1 sound systems. The PUS9000 series supports FreeSync Premium for gaming and uses the updated Titan OS smart platform.

Gaming and Smart Features Across the Lineup

Philips’ 2025 TV range includes several gaming-focused improvements. High refresh rate support (up to 144Hz) is now standard on most models, and the updated Game Bar 2.0 interface offers quick access to gaming settings. Additionally, cloud gaming services like Blacknut and Boosteroid are integrated into the Mini LED and QLED models.

AI-powered sound optimization is another highlight, with Philips’ Intellisound engine automatically adjusting audio profiles based on content type. This feature is available across the OLED, Mini LED, and QLED models.

Pricing details for the new models haven’t been announced yet, but with release dates starting in April 2025, more details should emerge soon.
