From Philips
P&F USA, Inc. ups the ante in smart Ultra HD TVs with the introduction of its new Philips 8600 Series, a line of Dolby Vision enabled 4K TVs that provides a dramatically superior viewing experience.

The 8600 Series combines Dolby Vision, a high performance visual system that incorporates HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Color Gamut) picture processing engines to deliver uniquely powerful imaging. Other technologies include the company's new BrightPro backlight, 240 Perfect Motion Rate, Micro Dimming Pro and Philips Pixel Precise Ultra HD, its advanced picture processing engine.

"Our new 8600 Series TVs are designed for the most demanding consumers who insist on the latest technologies in their quest for the best possible performance," said Karl Bearnarth, executive vice president, sales and marketing, P&F USA, Inc., the exclusive North American licensee for Philips consumer televisions and home video products. "These TVs are truly on the cutting edge and will satisfy the most discriminating technophiles."

With Dolby Vision, the 8600 Series delivers striking highlights, brilliant colors and deep darks. Color performance is further enhanced with a wide color gamut that displays 82 percent of the BT.2020 color space, a dramatic expansion in the range of colors displayed. Micro Dimming Pro provides a significant boost to contrast ratio, so critical in rendering an image with depth. For clear and vibrant images during fast action scenes, 8600 Series TVs feature Philips 240 Perfect Motion Rate that reduces response time to produce faster picture transitions and reduce motion artifacts. The new BrightPro LED backlight further enhances performance by boosting brightness to deliver a more dynamic, impactful image, while the Pixel Precise Ultra HD processing engine produces sharper images with brighter whites and blacker blacks.

Philips NetTV offers direct access to the most popular apps, including Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and Pandora. Also, 8600 Series TVs offer Xumo, an app that provides free access to over 50 channels of digital content from such networks as Bloomberg, CBS News, TIME, Inc., Condé Nast Entertainment, BuzzFeed, PopSugar, and more. Since the Philips 8600 Series is powered by a fast SoC, it ensures fast app launch times for all apps and fast app resume and video playback on the Netflix app. To ensure faster more reliable connections for the best streaming experience, the TVs include 802.11ac Wireless LAN with MIMO antennas.

To deliver an immersive cinema sound experience, 8600 Series TVs feature Sonic Emotion Premium sound enhancement, which includes Sonic Emotion's Absolute 3D, award-winning sound technology that produces 3D sound experiences with a realistic soundstage and clear dialog.

8600 Series TVs offer Wireless Screencasting for effortlessly streaming content from a smartphone, tablet or laptop to the TV. Videos and photos stored on a smartphone can easily be viewed on the TV, as can social networking sites, email, or any other web destination. Each 8600 Series TV also has a Home Network Multimedia Browser, allowing them to communicate with more than 25,000 DLNA Certified devices.

With HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 on all HDMI ports and built-in HEVC and VP9 decoders, 8600 Series TVs can handle 4K Blu-ray plus cable, satellite and streaming 4K media, including Netflix and YouTube 4K.
