DTS has announced that the Phorus PS10 wireless speaker, which features both DTS Play-Fi and Alexa Voice Service built-in, is now on sale for $249. The PS10 features a 30-watt amplifier, two 65mm Neodymium full-range transducers, and dual four-inch bass radiators in a sealed enclosure. In addition to its wireless streaming capabilities, it offers a 3.5mm input and a line-level audiophile-grade output with variable volume output control and a Wolfson high-resolution DAC. The built-in far-field microphone array allows users to access information, play music, and control home automation devices using Alexa Voice Service.

The Phorus PS10's built-in far-field microphone array allows users to access information, play music, and control other home automation devices via the Amazon Alexa Voice Service. Just like with the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, advanced signal processing techniques reliably capture spoken commands in noisy environments and from across the room, even when the speaker is playing music. With the inclusion of DTS Play-Fi technology, the PS10 can connect to more than 200 DTS Play-Fi-compatible products to form an Alexa-powered whole-home audio system, regardless of brand.

The Phorus PS10 produces stunning audio quality via a built-in 30-watt amplifier with DTS Sound post processing, two 65mm Neodymium full range transducers, and two four-inch bass radiators in a sealed enclosure. The PS10 supports playback of high-resolution audio files wirelessly via DTS Play-Fi technology and features four hard button music station presets, allowing for easy, one-touch access of a user's favorite streaming music stations.

Multi-room music control on the Phorus PS10 is easy using the Phorus Apps for Android, iOS, and Kindle. When compatible DTS Play-Fi products, including the Phorus PS5 speaker and Phorus PR5 receiver, are grouped with the PS10, music simultaneously plays to the group with playback controlled by Alexa. Each member of a family can also use the Phorus app on their smartphone or tablet to listen to music in their own room or groups of rooms. Users can also control their system using their Apple Watch or Android Wear device.

The Phorus PS10 supports playback through AirPlay and Spotify Connect, and it includes a 3.5mm input for connecting any analog source and a line-level audiophile grade output for connections to high-performance audio components. Using DTS Play-Fi, the 3.5mm input can be streamed wirelessly to DTS Play-Fi enabled products in other rooms of the home. The line out features variable volume output control and a Wolfson high-resolution DAC for amazing sound quality. Additionally, the PS10 will support Amazon's Connected Speaker API with a future firmware update. This will enable the PS10 to select and control the playback of music on all DTS Play-Fi enabled speakers throughout the home.

DTS Play-Fi technology enables lossless multi-room wireless audio streaming from the world's most popular music services, including Amazon Music, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Juke, KKBox, Napster, Qobuz, QQ Music, Pandora, SiriusXM, Spotify and Tidal, thousands of Internet radio stations, as well as personal music libraries, on any supported product.
