PSB-SS150.jpgPSB has introduced a compact subwoofer, the SubSeries 150, that moves away from the traditional cube shape and features a low-profile rectangular design that can sit vertically or horizontally. The SubSeries 150 sports a 6.5-inch woofer and 100-watt amplifier, and it will be available this month for $499. You can get more details on the SubSeries 150 subwoofer on PSB's website.

From PSB
PSB Speakers has announced a versatile applications subwoofer designed to be used in a wide number of locations around the home. The PSB SubSeries 150 is a compact, high performance subwoofer designed for multiple placement options for a variety of useful applications around the home. Its low-profile, gloss black cabinet can be wall mounted, stood vertically, or placed face up under furniture such as a sofa, chair or bed. The PSB SubSeries 150 will be available in April 2015 at an affordable MSRP of $499.

Despite this sub's compact size and modest price, the PSB SubSeries 150 delivers clear, powerful deep bass. Along with ingenious PSB engineering, the sub's remarkable performance is due in part to a custom-designed 6.5" woofer with a polypropylene cone and high temperature voice coil with a vented pole piece. Driving that is a robust 100W continuous amplifier with 200W of dynamic power at peak output.
