Q Acoustics has unveiled its latest innovation in home audio technology, the E300A ceiling-mounted hi-fi amplifier. This new device is designed to simplify and enhance home audio systems by integrating voice control, powerful amplification, and versatile connectivity into a single, discreet unit. The Q Acoustics E300A stands out for its ability to seamlessly blend into a smart home environment while offering robust audio performance and ease of use.

The Q Acoustics E300A is a ceiling-installed amplifier that works in conjunction with in-ceiling or in-wall speakers, creating a discreet and unobtrusive audio setup. By integrating the amplifier directly into the ceiling, the E300A eliminates the need for additional equipment racks or shelf-mounted amplifiers, providing a streamlined aesthetic in any room. The system is suitable for both new builds and renovations, making it versatile for various installation scenarios.

The E300A features a high-quality stereo amplifier that delivers 25 watts per channel into 6 ohms, making it compatible with Q Acoustics' own line of in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, as well as other passive speakers with impedances between 6 and 8 ohms. This flexibility allows users to customize their audio setup according to their preferences, either in a single room or across multiple rooms.

The key highlight of the Q Acoustics E300A is its integration with Amazon Alexa, allowing users to control the amplifier and other compatible smart home devices through voice commands. The system is equipped with three far-field microphones that provide 360-degree coverage, ensuring reliable voice recognition even in large, open-plan areas.

An LED light ring, similar to other Alexa-enabled devices, provides visual feedback for voice interactions. The intensity of this light is adjusted automatically based on the room’s ambient light, thanks to a surface-mounted light sensor.

The E300A supports a wide range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and Ethernet, making it easy to connect to various music streaming services such as Amazon Multi-Room Audio, Apple AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, and Spotify Connect. This range of options allows users to stream music from compatible devices like smartphones, tablets, and computers directly to the amplifier.

Additionally, the E300A includes an audio input for TV sound via a combined mini TOSlink and 3.5mm stereo analog jack, allowing it to serve as an audio hub for home entertainment systems.

Designed with ease of installation in mind, the E300A is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing for convenient retrofitting by simply adding a power supply and suitable speakers. The amplifier’s certified 60-minute fire rating eliminates the need for a separate fire hood, simplifying the installation process further. This fire resistance feature maintains the ceiling's integrity in case of a fire, making it a safe addition to any home.

The E300A is operated via a remote control or the Q Net app, available for both iOS and Android devices. The app provides a straightforward setup process, including Wi-Fi configuration, EQ adjustments (bass, treble, balance), and source selection. Users can also mute the onboard microphones through the remote, app, or a physical button on the amplifier itself.
