Q Acoustics M40: Wireless, and Exceptional Sound Quality, But That's Not All

Q Acoustics, the renowned British audio brand, has recently unveiled its latest innovation in the realm of audio technology – the Q Acoustics M40 powered wireless audio system. With an emphasis on compactness and convenience, these new speakers aim to deliver impressive sound performance but without the need for bulky equipment.

Building upon the success of its predecessors, particularly the award-winning M20 HD wireless audio system, the Q Acoustics M40 offers a compelling solution for music enthusiasts seeking a space-saving yet powerful audio setup.

Standing at just 71cm tall, these compact loudspeakers pack a punch with 100W per channel of built-in amplification, eliminating the necessity for separate preamps, power amps, or streaming boxes.

One of the key features of the M40 system is its versatility in connectivity. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, users can seamlessly stream music from their smartphones or laptops, with support for aptX HD and aptX Low Latency technologies ensuring high-quality wireless audio transmission. Moreover, the speakers offer support for high-resolution audio over Wi-Fi at 24-bit/48kHz, catering to audiophiles who demand uncompromising sound fidelity.

In addition to wireless options, the M40 provides multiple inputs for connecting various audio sources, including gaming consoles, TVs, set-top boxes, and pre-amplified turntables. For those craving even deeper bass, the speakers offer the option to integrate a subwoofer into the setup.

Under the hood, the M40 utilizes Q Acoustics’ cutting-edge driver technology, featuring the C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass driver. This innovative design combines the robust bass response of traditional straight cone speakers with the precise high/midrange control of flared cone speakers, promising an immersive listening experience across a wide range of genres.

Furthermore, the speaker cabinet incorporates Q Acoustics’ proprietary Point to Point (P2P) internal bracing, enhancing structural rigidity and minimizing unwanted vibrations for cleaner sound reproduction. The company has also paid meticulous attention to the grille design, opting for a fixed grille attached to the baffle to reduce sonic interference and ensure a smoother dispersion of sound.

Ease of setup and placement flexibility are additional highlights of the M40 system. Users can invert the left and right channels to accommodate power outlets and adjust the speaker's sound profile with an EQ switch based on its positioning within the room.
