From Revel
Revel by HARMAN has introduced the new XC Extreme Climate Series Landscape Loudspeakers, greatly expanding the Revel XC portfolio and bringing uncompromising, award-winning sound to harsh environments.

Three new models make up the series: the L41XC 4-inch (100mm) Landscape Satellite, the L42XC Dual 4-inch (100mm) Landscape Bollard and the L12XC 12-inch (300mm) Burial Subwoofer. All loudspeakers offer the versatility, durability and performance that an outdoor environment demands without compromising sound quality.

Designed with custom installations in mind, the Revel XC Landscape models include low-voltage or 70V/100V variable tap capability, integrated and independently controlled low-voltage lighting (L42XC only), and flexible mounting options with available accessories.

The L41XC is a compact two-way satellite using a 4-inch Aluminum cone woofer and a 1-inch Aluminum dome tweeter. Satellites may be connected via low-impedance or 70V/100V 60W variable tap operation. 12-inch ground spikes are included, and an optional deck mount is available, allowing the L12XC to be mounted to hard surfaces such as decks, walls, and trees. The deck mount can also be used to suspend the satellite as a pendant mount for custom applications.

The L42XC is a two-way bollard satellite using dual 4-inch Aluminum cone woofers and a 1-inch Aluminum dome tweeter. This model is unique in that it includes integrated low-voltage 360-degree down-lighting with independent control that allows it to be integrated into the outdoor lighting system functioning as a path light or general area light. Satellites may be connected via low-impedance or 70V/100V 60W variable tap operation. The L42XC can be buried up to half of its height for a reduced visual appearance, or it can used with the optional deck mount to become a freestanding tower for use on hard surfaces.

The L12XC is a direct burial subwoofer with a 12-inch Aluminum cone woofer. It features a separate transformer disguised as a rock that can used for low-impedance or 70V/100V 250W variable tap operation.

"The Extreme Climate Landscape Series raises the bar for the performance of outdoor loudspeakers," said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN. "The combination of their sound quality, visual appearance, installation features and flexibility, and overall durability sets them apart for the customer who is truly looking for the finest backyard entertainment experience."

This great-sounding series is also visually appealing and built-to-last with a durable Earthen Brown finish and IP67 weather protection ratings for the L41XC and L42XC satellites. When combined with Crown by HARMAN series CDi1000 and CDi2000 amplifiers, the XC Landscape models provide the ultimate solution for premium outdoor audio. The XC Series loudspeakers are timbre-matched to all component and architectural loudspeakers within the Revel by HARMAN portfolio.

Expected pricing for the Revel XC Extreme Climate Series Landscape Loudspeakers will be as follows:

L41XC: $750/each
L42XC: $1,250/each
L12XC: $3,000/each
