It's a little strange these days to see any new surround sound preamp released without room correction--especially an object-based preamp with 7.1.4-channel processing capabilities--but you purists in the audience who just can't abide the idea of auto-EQ or impulse reponse filtering will be happy to hear that Rotel is doing just that with its new RSP-1576. Room acoustics DIYers take heart, though: the RSP-1576 does come with a ten-band parametric EQ.
Pricing in the US will be $2,399, and the RSP-1576 is scheduled to ship this month to authorized Rotel dealers.
