Rotel, the esteemed Japanese audio equipment manufacturer, has introduced three new models to its 14 Series line of products - the Rotel A10MKII Integrated Amplifier, Rotel A11MKII Integrated Amplifier, and Rotel CD11MKII CD Player. With a focus on component upgrades, sonic improvements, and added features, these new offerings promise to deliver higher resolution and detail while maintaining competitive pricing.
Drawing inspiration from the legacy of the late Ken Ishiwata, a revered figure in the audio industry, Rotel has enhanced the A11MKII and CD11MKII models to become upgraded versions of the successful Tribute Series. By co-engineering these models with Ishiwata, the company strives to preserve his design philosophy and honor his 40+ year legacy.
Rotel A10MKII Integrated Amplifier
The A10MKII is a Class AB integrated amplifier, boasting a power output of 2 x 50W (8 ohms). It comes equipped with a Moving Magnet Phono Stage and three RCA analogue source inputs, providing versatile connectivity options.
The amplifier's power is driven by an in-house manufactured toroidal transformer with robust filtering storage capacitors. Through more than 67 component upgrades, particularly in the power and amplifier gain stage, the A10MKII now offers improved resolution and detail. The included IR remote control enables precise volume adjustment in the analogue domain and easy source selection.
The front panel of the amplifier features bass, treble, and balance controls, along with a convenient 3.5mm headphone output connector. On the rear panel, users will find a single set of speaker binding posts, dual 12V trigger outputs, and an automatic power control switch for added convenience.
Rotel A11MKII Integrated Amplifier
An upgrade to the successful A11 Tribute model, the A11MKII is a Class AB integrated amplifier delivering 2x50W (8 ohms) of power. Retaining its Moving Magnet Phono Stage and three RCA analogue source inputs, the A11MKII expands its connectivity options with the inclusion of aptXTM HD and AAC Bluetooth compatibility.
Additionally, the MKII version introduces coaxial and optical inputs, allowing seamless connection to digital sources at up to 24-bit/192kHz.
Over 22 critical component upgrades have been implemented in the digital circuits, featuring a Texas Instruments PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC, resulting in enhanced staging and resolution. The front panel houses bass, treble, and balance controls, complemented by a 3.5mm headphone jack. The rear panel features a single set of speaker binding posts, dual 12V trigger outputs, and a signal-sense automatic power control switch.
Rotel CD11MKII Compact Disc Player
Replacing the CD11 Tribute model, the Rotel CD11MKII CD Player boasts over 10 critical component upgrades in its digital circuits, centered around the TI PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC. The CD player features a smooth action tray loading mechanism, an LCD display, and intuitive front panel controls for user-friendly operation.
The package includes an IR remote control, ensuring ease of installation and use. RCA outputs facilitate simple connection to audio systems, while the CD11MKII also provides a coaxial output, enabling it to function as a CD transport. The incorporation of a 12V trigger input and RS232 connection further enhances its integration capabilities with various control systems.
The Rotel A10MKII, A11MKII, and CD11MKII will be available in black and silver colors worldwide from August onwards at the following prices:
