Round Loudspeaker

OrbAudio-Mod1-review.gif

Round loudspeakers are a new class of speakers that are small and often mounted to match an HDTV system installation. Their lack of reflective surface area and diminutive size make them very desirable to consumers. They are almost always matched with a subwoofer to create a full-range audio experience.

Companies like Orb Audio sell round speakers directly and offer various custom finishes that match various decors. Companies like B&W use rounded tweeters to add the same sonic effects to the high-frequency reproduction of their loudspeakers, as they sometimes mount their tweeters on the top of their increasingly rounded cabinets.

Other notable companies that make round loudspeakers are Cabasse and Anthony Gallo Acoustics.
