From Russound
Russound has announced that Amazon Alexa voice control is available for its MCA-series and XStream series products.
Consumers may now use Amazon's Echo or Dot to control any of Russound's most popular products, making it easy for consumers to control their whole-house audio systems with simple, intuitive voice commands.
"To my mind, the growth of voice control is one of the most important developments, if not the most important development of the past 10 years," said Charlie Porritt, CEO, Russound. "It's changing the way our customers interact with technology, and Amazon clearly is in the forefront of integrating voice control capabilities into nearly every connected consumer product."
"We told our customers at CEDIA that we were close to finishing this new and compelling voice control feature on six of our core products, and we are thrilled to deliver on the promise," said Porritt.
Voice control via Amazon Alexa can be added to six controller models by Russound Certified Installers, including:
MCA-66
XSource
MCA-88
XZone4
MCA-88X
XZone70V
Added Porritt: "For all its growth over the past few years, voice control is still in its infancy. No matter what direction it takes, we plan to be in lock step with every critical development, ensuring Russound products represent the best of current technologies, now and in the years ahead."
