Samsung 2025 OLED TVs: What’s New, What’s Smart, and What’s Worth It

Samsung has officially revealed its 2025 OLED TV lineup, featuring upgraded screens, smarter software, and new AI-driven tools.

Samsung 2025 OLED TVs: What’s New, What’s Smart, and What’s Worth It

Samsung first unveiled its 2025 OLED TV lineup back in January at CES 2025, where the flagship S95F even picked up a Best of CES Award from us. Now, the company is officially announcing pricing and availability for all three series: the high-end S95F, the mid-range S90F, and the more budget-friendly S85F, with screen sizes ranging from 42 inches to 83 inches.

If you’re watching a movie in a sunny room or trying to keep up with fast-paced games, Samsung says its new OLEDs are built to handle it—thanks to upgraded processors, smarter software, and an updated screen coating designed to cut down on reflections.

All three models share the typical OLED perks—deep blacks, punchy color, and great contrast—but Samsung has added a few extras for 2025. For one, the entire lineup now comes with Pantone-validated color accuracy, and a revamped Glare-Free screen coating that’s meant to reduce distracting reflections from windows or lights.

They also come with Samsung Vision AI, which goes beyond image and sound enhancements to offer a bunch of new, app-like features that tap into the smart home ecosystem. Think of it as your TV getting a little more involved in your everyday life.

Samsung Vision AI Click To Search.

The new Vision AI system is at the heart of this lineup. Some of the standout tools include:

  • Click to Search, which lets you tap on something you see in a show or movie—like an actor—and instantly get more info about them.
  • Live Translate, which offers real-time subtitle translation during live broadcasts.
  • Pet Care and Family Care, which work with connected cameras to send alerts if your pet or child needs attention.
  • Home Insights, which displays updates from your smart devices right on your screen, and even shows a 3D map of your home setup.

There’s also Universal Gestures, which work with Samsung Galaxy Watches. You can use hand motions to control the TV—like rotating your watch bezel to scroll, or making a fist to go back to the previous menu.

And Samsung’s smart TV software, One UI Tizen, is getting an upgrade too. It now supports individual user profiles (so everyone in the house can get their own personalized recommendations), and Samsung is promising up to seven years of software updates, which is a longer commitment than you’ll find with most TVs.

Samsung S95F: The Flagship Model

At the top of the lineup is the S95F, available in 55", 65", 77", and eventually 83" sizes. It’s packing Samsung’s brightest OLED screen yet, along with the company’s newest anti-glare coating.

Inside, it runs on the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, which adjusts brightness, color, contrast, and depth in real time. It also handles 4K upscaling, which helps lower-resolution content look sharper.

For gamers, the S95F supports a 165Hz refresh rate, along with Motion Xcelerator 165Hz for smoother gameplay and better motion clarity.

Here’s what pricing looks like:

Samsung S90F: Midrange, But Still Feature-Rich

The S90F shares a lot of the same features as the S95F, including the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor and Vision AI tools. It also supports 4K AI Upscaling Pro and comes with OLED HDR+ for better brightness and contrast in dark scenes.

Motion-wise, it’s slightly toned down from the flagship, with a 144Hz refresh rate and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, which aims to improve clarity in fast-moving content—like sports or action movies.

Audio is also a focus here. The S90F includes Object Tracking Sound Lite, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and Adaptive Sound Pro, which adjust the sound based on what’s happening on screen and in your room.

Samsung S85F: The More Affordable Option

The S85F is the most affordable of the three but still checks a lot of the same boxes. It’s powered by the NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor, which isn’t quite as advanced as the Gen3 chip in the other models but still handles 4K upscaling and visual enhancements.

It comes with Motion Xcelerator 120Hz for smoother movement in games and sports, and Color Booster Pro, which helps improve color detail and vibrancy.

Pricing for the S85F:

All three series run on the new One UI Tizen platform, which now feels a bit more like Samsung’s smartphones or watches. Each member of your household can create their own profile with personalized recommendations, watch history, and app preferences.

Plus, those seven years of OS updates should help keep your apps and features current for quite a while.

Alongside the new TVs, Samsung is adding two more soundbars to its Q-Series lineup:

These are designed to work seamlessly with Samsung TVs and add more depth and dimension to your home theater setup.
