Pocket-lint.com reports that Samsung has added Lovefilm to the many apps available on the company's Blu-ray players.
Lovefilm can already be accessed on the HDTVs Samsung manufactures, as well as Sony's web-enabled TV products. Lovefilm.com is a UK-based rental company, similar to Netflix. The company is owned by Amazon currently.

Andy Griffiths, VP of consumer electronics at Samsung UK said: "Adding the Lovefilm streaming service to all Samsung Blu-ray players and Blu-ray home theatre systems is great news for us at Samsung as we're dedicated to providing our customers with relevant and exciting content, all from the comfort of their own home."
Like Netflix, to access Lovefilm, users will need the proper hardware and a subscription to the service. In that way, it differs from the Amazon VOD service.
