Samsung Expands Terrace Outdoor Neo QLED 4K TV Lineup at CEDIA 2024

Samsung has unveiled new additions to its Terrace outdoor television lineup ahead of CEDIA 2024, offering enhanced features and expanded screen sizes for outdoor entertainment enthusiasts. The updated lineup includes Full Sun models available in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, priced at $7,499.99 and $9,999.99 respectively, as well as Partial Sun models in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes, with prices ranging from $3,499.99 to $6,499.99. These new models are designed for permanent outdoor installation, combining advanced display technology with durability suited for a variety of weather conditions.

A key feature of the new Terrace lineup is the upgraded Neo QLED 4K display, which uses Mini LED technology to deliver improved brightness and visibility in outdoor settings. This enhancement is complemented by an AI-powered processor capable of upscaling content to 4K resolution, ensuring high picture quality even when viewing older, lower-resolution content.

Additionally, the displays feature Anti-Reflection technology and a Wide Viewing Angle, which minimize glare and maintain image quality from various viewing positions, making them ideal for outdoor environments.

The Terrace TVs are built to withstand outdoor elements, boasting an IP56 rating for water and dust resistance. This makes them a reliable choice for year-round outdoor use. Samsung has also integrated support for its Gaming Hub into the Terrace lineup, providing access to over 3,000 games from partners such as Xbox without the need for a console or PC. This feature is expected to appeal to gamers looking for versatile entertainment options beyond traditional TV viewing.

In addition, Samsung introduced The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9 (which we already reviewed) projectors last week, which use ultra-short throw technology to deliver large, high-quality images in 4K resolution. The Premiere lineup aims to provide a cinema-like experience in a compact form factor, suitable for home theater setups.

As part of a promotional offer, customers who purchase The Premiere 9 or The Premiere 7 by September 15 will receive a free Freestyle 2nd Gen projector from Samsung, adding further value to their home entertainment systems.

Beyond the new Terrace models and projectors, Samsung is showcasing a variety of other products at CEDIA 2024. These include advancements in OLED, Neo QLED 8K, and Lifestyle screens like The Frame, which continues to be a popular choice for its art-inspired design and expanded Art Store content.

Samsung has also expanded its offerings earlier in the ultra-large screen category, with options like the 98-inch Class QN90D, which incorporates AI-based image enhancements for optimal viewing on large displays. This model, along with other 98-inch options in the Neo QLED 8K and QLED 4K lines, aims to provide consumers with a high-quality, immersive viewing experience combined with advanced connectivity features.

The lineup also includes the QN900D Neo QLED 8K TV (which won our Editor's Choice Award), Samsung's slimmest 8K model, equipped with the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. This TV enhances the motion of fast-moving objects and provides a smooth viewing experience, reducing blur for clearer images during sports or action scenes. The QN95D Neo QLED 4K TV offers similar enhancements in a 4K format, catering to those who prioritize picture quality and sleek design in their home entertainment setups.

Complementing its TV and projector offerings, Samsung is also highlighting its audio products, including the HW-Q990D soundbar, which delivers immersive 11.1.4 channel Wireless Dolby Atmos sound. This model, along with the compact HW-S800D and HW-S801D soundbars, provides options for various home audio setups, aiming to deliver rich, high-quality sound to accompany Samsung’s visual displays.

Attendees at CEDIA can explore these and other innovations at Samsung's booth (#3012), where the company is also displaying its latest MICRO LED technology, including new screen sizes designed to offer luxury viewing experiences with vibrant colors and deep contrast.
