You can always count on Samsung to spice up CES with exciting new TVs.
2022 is looking great for advances in micro-LED, Samsung plans offer 110 inch, 101 inch and 89 inch micro TVs LED that support 20-bit grayscale, for next-level HDR performance. these TVs also cover 100% of the DCI and Adobe RGB color gamuts, They feature art mode for when they are idle and have a multiview feature that allows you to view up to four sources simultaneously. There's also built-in support for Dolby Atmos with side, top, and bottom speakers.
There is no other display technology available to Consumers that is as capable as micro-LED, and now Samsung offers it in sizes that are ideal for a residential setting such as the primary television in the living room, or and the case of the 110-inch model, an excellent option for dedicated home theater.
Samsung of course has updated its lineup of Neo QLED TVs, improving overall performance through sophisticated processing courtesy of the Neo Quantum Processor.
A notable improvement is an increase in gradation from 12-bit to 14-bit. This increases the number of steps that the TV can use to control the backlighting from 4096 up to 16384. This will allow the 2022 Samsung Neo QLED TVs to express greater details in deep shadows and bright highlights.
The processor utilizes Shape Adaptive Light technology which analyzes lines and shapes and surfaces within the image and optimizes the output of the quantum mini LED FALD backlight. A separate but related feature called real depth enhancer recognizes objects against the background, and as the name implies, applies processing that creates a greater perceived sense of depth.
Samsung introduces an EyeComfort mode on 2022 Neo QLED TVs. This feature utilizes the built-in light sensor as well as awareness of sunrise and sunset based on location, it then gradually adjust the light output as well as the tonality of the image, creating a smooth transition from bright daytime operation to a more subdued nighttime picture that has reduced blue light levels.
Neo QLED is about more than just picture quality. Samsungs premium TVs offer built-in sounds that go above what you might expect from a sleek flat panel. The company says it is a major upgrade, building upon OTS (object tracking sound). The new OTS Pro adds up-firing speakers to the TV so that it can create height effects using reflected sound and therefore support Dolby Atmos directly and natively within the TV, no soundbar required.
4K at 144 Hz is a very gaming-specific feature that allows users to leverage the power of super-premium video cards. In 2022, some Samsung TVs offer VRR, ALLM, along with the maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is something that you normally would see on a PC monitor, not a TV. This one's for the PC gamers out there—and only those with the very fastest rigs will be able to take advantage. Alas, the latest generation of gaming consoles has a 120 Hz Frame rate limit.
Samsung's The Frame is a highly successful lifestyle-friendly TV that transforms into a customizable work of art when it is not showing video content. For 2022, the company has created a new Matte Display Surface that has anti-glare, answer your flexion, and anti-fingerprint properties. The texture of the screen is like fine art paper, avoiding telltale reflections that would give away the fact that is actually a TV. And since incredulous guests will try and touch it to see if it is real or not, it has anti-fingerprint properties. The Frame comes in a broad variety of sizes that range from 32" up to 85".
2022 Samsung Smart TVs get a new Smart Hub experience that is hyper-focused on content curation and discovery. A sidebar allows for quick transitioning between categories such as media, Gaming Hub and Ambient Mode.

I own the 2021 Samsung Mini Led QN90a tv in 75'. The pic is fantastic in HD but absolutely atrocious in 4K UHD HDR input... The tv upconverts 1080P to 4K magnificently and ALL discs and streaming looks better upconverted than does native 4K. Sorry to have to say that but it's the truth. No combination of settings or adjustments makes 4K in any format halfway watchable. It remains either a dark, dingy, dirty mess with incredibly crushed blacks, or a grainy version that is bright enough but ugly as sin. This is with a light cannon of a tv that puts 1,500 nits on the screen after HD Calibration... Samsung seems to not care and basically is telling their suckered buyers they are on their own. After 20 years, I will never buy another Samsung.
