Samsung is one of the biggest and most important electronics companies on the planet Earth. They currently sell more flat HDTVs than any other company (aprox. 20% of the total flat HDTVs sold are Samsungs). They were an early and strong supporter of Blu-ray and have a LCD factory that they share with Sony for production of their televisions.

Samsung is well known for home theater and consumer electronics but the company makes many other electronics products for the home too.
