Samsung has officially unveiled its 2025 Neo QLED TV lineup, featuring both 4K and 8K models with upgraded AI-powered picture and sound. These new TVs introduce Samsung Vision AI, a system that aims to improve image quality, sound, and even how you interact with the TV. There are also some noticeable upgrades in motion clarity, glare reduction, and connectivity, plus Samsung is rolling out its biggest consumer TV yet—a massive 115-inch 4K model.
“We know great picture and immersive sound are just the beginning of what shoppers are looking for when choosing a TV today,” said Lydia Cho, Head of Product, Home Electronics at Samsung Electronics America.
“In fact, enhanced connectivity, smart features and ease of use are more important than ever. Samsung Vision AI transforms your TV to bring together the best of it all, delivering AI-powered innovations that reinvent what’s possible from your Samsung TV.”
With the QN990F and QN900F leading the 8K range and the QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F making up the 4K lineup, there’s a lot to unpack. Let’s break it down.
Samsung is still committed to 8K TVs, even though native 8K content is still pretty scarce outside of YouTube. That’s where AI-powered upscaling comes in. The QN990F and QN900F use the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor to enhance lower-resolution content to 8K quality.
The QN990F, available in sizes from 65 to 98 inches, includes Glare-Free technology for better visibility in bright rooms and a Wireless One Connect Box, which allows devices to be connected wirelessly up to 30 feet away—though the TV still needs a power cord.
For sports fans and gamers, Motion Xcelerator 240Hz and AI Motion Enhancer Pro promise smoother visuals. The TV also supports Dolby Atmos sound, with Object Tracking Sound Pro, which adjusts the audio to match movement on the screen.
The QN900F (65 to 85 inches) offers similar AI-powered 8K upscaling and Glare-Free technology, but steps down to Motion Xcelerator 165Hz and Object Tracking Sound+, a slightly less advanced version of the "Pro" audio system.
QN990F Series:
For those not ready to jump into 8K territory, Samsung’s 2025 4K lineup includes three models: QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F. All feature Mini LED backlighting and AI-driven upscaling.
The QN90F, Samsung’s top-tier 4K model, comes in sizes from 43 inches all the way up to 115 inches (the largest consumer TV Samsung has ever made). It features the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, Glare-Free technology, and Neo Quantum HDR+, which fine-tunes brightness and contrast. Motion Xcelerator 165Hz is included for smoother visuals.
The QN80F, sitting just below the QN90F, features the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, 4K AI Upscaling, and Motion Xcelerator 144Hz. It doesn’t have Glare-Free technology, but still includes Mini LED backlighting.
The QN70F, the most budget-friendly of the bunch, hasn’t been released yet—Samsung hasn’t shared its launch details.
One of the biggest new features across all Samsung 2025 Neo QLED TVs is Samsung Vision AI, which enhances both picture and sound while adding new interactive tools.
Some highlights include:
Samsung has also promised seven years of software updates for its Tizen OS, so these TVs should stay updated with apps, services, and AI features for a while.
Samsung is also bringing its Art Store—previously exclusive to The Frame TVs—to Neo QLED 8K, 4K, and QLED models. This lets you display over 3,000 artworks from famous museums and artists when the TV isn’t in use.
On the hardware side, Samsung is going bigger than ever:
For those looking to upgrade their home theater setup, Samsung is also launching new Q-series soundbars, including:
