CES is just weeks away and about what wonders await, one can only speculate. But if the rumor mill knows what it's talking about what's we'll see is Samsung finally put its foot into the OLED TV game. Of course, Samsung is no stranger to OLED, the company debuted an OLED TV right when LG did. But after that first attempt, Samsung saw fit to concentrate its OLED efforts on portable devices.
But now, the word is Samsung has an OLED panel of some sort up its sleeve. The best guess, as reported by TechRadar based on an Edaily News (Korea) article, is we'll see the oft-rumored quantum-dot/OLED hybrid. The Techradar article even mentions screen sizes: 34", 55" and 65".
For now, we'll hold off on further speculation, but if this Samsung QD-OLED rumor pans out, it'll be interesting to see if anyone else was thinking something similar, or if this will be something new.
CES 2022 runs from Jan 5-8 and is the world's largest trade show of any kind. It is typically the venue where the latest TVs and related technologies are announced.
