TWICE reports that Savant has just introduced a new line of AV control products that are Apple-based. The new products are called SmartSystems, and feature iTunes-based media servers.

This new series is intended to replace Savant's current Rosie and Protégé lines. Not only to the SmartSystems control media but they are also capable of controlling lighting, home theater control, and other parts of whole home automation.
In the SmartSystem line are the SmartControl SSC-0007 and SSC-0025 devices, which connect with AV, lighting, climate control, and security systems. The SSC-0025 features eight RS-232 ports, six IR ports, three relay ports, and one Ethernet port.
The SmartAudio SSA-3000 is also in the line and is a multi-room audio and whole-house control device that features stereo preamp processing, including independent volume, balance, bass, treble, and mute controls. The device can be controlled through Savant's TrueControl app by using an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
There is also the SmartVideo SSV-1000 which features a single zone of TrueCommand, Savant's on-TV menu system, as well as processing, scaling, and switching for video sources.
Also in the series is the SmartMedia SSM-3100 which features eight zone audio distribution, video switching, a single zone of TrueCommand.
