The new Sonus faber Omnia is a sculpted, touch-sensitive, high-fidelity standalone yet connected sound system. The company is proud to announce it has won the Red Dot Design Award in two categories: Audio and Innovative Product.
The Omnia was announced this past February and it is not just a smart speaker. It is a modern audiophile solution for a compact system that can handle various physical input types from direct support for MM turntables (phono stage built-in) to HDMI ARC. Its wireless abilities are broad and robust, ranging from Bluetooth with AptX HD to Wi-Fi, bringing AirPlay, Chromecast, Roon, Spotify, and Tidal Connect support.
Even though Omnia is a single standalone device, it is designed to project a three-dimensional and enveloping soundfield. Omnia has two new trademarked technologies: the touch-sensitive SENSOTM interface, which allows users to control the device directly and quickly connect to just about every digital or analog source, such as their tv, phonograph, or smartphone.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to receive this award from the RedDot’s jury on Omnia. I’m particularly proud of the team who worked on the product and its communication. Products are merely the physical shape of people’s dreams - they don’t exist without us.”
Livio Cucuzza, Sonus faber’s Chief DesignOfficer
Omnia comes in wood or graphite finishes and retails for $1999.
