  • I’m an AV enthusiast, equipment reviewer, photographer, videographer and drone pilot. I’m also a THX-trained video calibrator with extensive experience reviewing consumer displays including TVS, projectors, monitors and smartphones.

For four decades, Sonus faber and De Santi woodworking factory have partnered to create distinctive, artful speaker enclosures. But now, these close collaborators are getting even closer making the factory the official woodworking department within Sonus faber. According to the company, this acquisition is in direct response to increased global demand.

The acquisition is effective immediately, and Sonos faber has committed to deploying new CNC machinery and painting facilities in an expanded factory. An added benefit is the anticipated potential to create more innovative designs and increased customization while reducing lead time and boosting productivity.

“I am thrilled to welcome Stefano De Santi and the entire De Santi team to Sonus faber. The quality construction of our wooden cabinet is a strong differentiator for Sonus faber and an integral part of our brand’s identity and resulting natural sound. This acquisition is a natural progression of our 35 years of collaboration, and I look forward to the amazing innovations that we will develop together as one family of artisans.”

Sonus faber CEO Jeff Poggi

For De Santi Woodworking this is a welcome development. Stephano De Santi will take on the title of Sonus faber's Head of Woodworking. Current staff will be retained, and new staff will be hired to expand capacity.

"I’ve always loved the Sonus faber product philosophy, we grew together over the last 35 years. The De Santi team and I are very happy to become part of the Sonus faber family, finally able to dedicate our work exclusively in building these pieces of acoustic art."
