Italian speaker manufacturer Sonus Faber has announced the imminent launch of its latest loudspeaker collection, the Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 series. Set to hit the market in July 2024, this new lineup aims to democratize high-end audio by bringing flagship-level technology and design elements to a more price-conscious audience.
The Sonetto G2 series marks the second generation of the popular Sonetto lineup, featuring seven distinct models catering to various preferences and setups. Among the offerings are two stand-mount speakers, three floorstanders, a center speaker, and a wall-mount speaker, providing flexibility for different listening environments.
What sets the Sonetto G2 series apart is its integration of high-end sound technology and design elements previously reserved for Sonus Faber's flagship systems, notably showcased in the Suprema system unveiled earlier at CES 2024.
One notable feature borrowed from the Suprema system is the incorporation of a cork chamber in the top-of-the-line Sonetto V and VIII floorstanding models. This innovative chamber improves midrange resolution and natural sound quality, ensuring an immersive listening experience.
Another highlight of the Sonus Faber Sonetto G2 series is the inclusion of the flower-shaped Camelia midrange speaker, present in select models such as the Sonetto V, VIII, and Center speakers. Left unpainted for maximum sound purity, these drivers deliver clear and detailed audio reproduction, regardless of the listener's position.
Furthermore, all Sonetto G2 models boast Sonus Faber's signature attention to detail, with high-quality wood cabinets available in walnut, wenge, and piano black finishes. The iconic "lute" shape not only adds aesthetic appeal but also optimizes sound dispersion for an immersive listening experience.
Under the hood, the Sonetto G2 series features state-of-the-art components, including paper-pulp sandwich cone woofers, Silk Dome DAD tweeters, and Phase Coherent Crossover technology. These elements work in harmony to produce a soundstage that is defined, palpable, and remarkably immersive.
