Sony Electronics Inc. has unveiled an exciting array of home audio products under its new BRAVIA Theater line. The newly introduced Sony BRAVIA Theater range includes sophisticated soundbars, a home theater system, and a unique neckband speaker, all designed to seamlessly integrate with Sony's latest BRAVIA TVs.
At the forefront of this release is the Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad, a flagship home theater surround sound system designed to bring movies to life. Boasting a revolutionary design and equipped with 16 speakers, including an optional wireless subwoofer, the Quad promises to deliver heart-pounding bass and exceptional acoustic performance.
Accompanying the Quad are the BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 and BRAVIA Theater Bar 8 soundbars, featuring 13 and 11 speakers respectively, aimed at transforming any living space into a bona fide movie theater experience. For those seeking a more personal audio encounter, the BRAVIA Theater U neckband speaker offers immersive surround sound tailored to individual preferences.
One of the standout features across the BRAVIA Theater range is Sony's proprietary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology. This groundbreaking innovation generates multiple phantom speakers to create a wide sound field, enveloping listeners in immersive audio from various directions, akin to the cinema experience.
With 360 Spatial Sound Mapping, users can enjoy an expansive audio environment without the need for complex installations. Additionally, the Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 9, Bar 8, and Quad are all compatible with Sound Field Optimization, automatically tuning each speaker based on the room layout to optimize audio performance.
Moreover, when paired with Sony's BRAVIA TVs, the BRAVIA Theater products offer improved functionality through features like Acoustic Center Sync, seamlessly blending the soundbar's audio with the TV speakers for a cohesive viewing experience. The integration extends further with the new Voice Zoom 3 feature, which leverages AI algorithms to enhance human dialogue, ensuring clear and intelligible sound even at low volumes.
Adding to the versatility of the lineup is the BRAVIA Connect App, formerly known as the Home Entertainment Connect App, allowing users to control settings for Voice Zoom 3 and BRAVIA Theater audio products directly from their smartphones. Furthermore, with compatibility with IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Atmos immersive audio technologies, the BRAVIA Theater series should provide a premium audiovisual experience.
“Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do at Dolby,” said Mahesh Balakrishnan, Vice President of Consumer Entertainment, at Dolby Laboratories.
“With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, creatives have a wider set of tools to work with so audiences can experience their stories exactly as they envisioned. Through the combination of Sony best-in-class engineering and Dolby’s industry leading innovations, consumers can enjoy truly cinematic Dolby experiences on their favorite Sony BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theater devices.”
