Sophia Electric

Magik_box.jpgSophia Electric started in 2001 as custom amplifier makers. They expanded and soon began producing amplifiers, vacuum tubes, speakers and audiophile grade capacitors.

To help you decide what amp to purchase there is a performance level ranking system to rank the quality of sounds at different price point.

They also make an interesting item called the Magik Box. It supposedly "improves coupling between analog phono stage/digital music source to pre-amplifier/integrated amplifier by replacing commonly RC coupling to transformer coupling thus lower the RC coupling distortion(far superior sound than a 91-01-web.jpgvacuum tube buffer stage)." And it looks cool, too.

Sophia Electric tube amplifiers are designed by Richard Wugang and his father Dr. DWU and hand made by Richard Wugang family and company in the USA.
