SRS Labs is a leader in surround sound technology specifically used in headphone and for speaker systems in HDTV sets. SRS has won numerous CES Innovation and other awards. Formed in 1993, SRS is a publicly traded company.

SRS Labs more notable technologies are SRS TruSurround XT, which creates a surround sound effect from two speakers, SRS TruVolume, which regulates the volume level of TV programming, and SRS StudioSound HD which levels volume and clears up vocals and dialog.
