Stealth Acoustics has announced the launch of its latest products, the LineaRadiance (L-RAD) series of speakers and subwoofers. This new lineup marks the eighth generation of Stealth Acoustics' LineaResponse flat radiating diaphragm speakers, promising enhanced audio performance combined with a completely concealed design.
The LineaRadiance speakers are designed to seamlessly integrate into any interior environment, whether residential or commercial. Once installed within a wall or ceiling, the speakers become entirely invisible.
The installation process allows for various finishing options, including latex paint, light wallpaper, fabrics, and selected texture coats, ensuring that the speakers leave no visible trace. This makes the LineaRadiance series particularly attractive for those who prioritize maintaining the aesthetic integrity of their spaces.
Despite their hidden nature, the LineaRadiance speakers do not compromise on sound quality. Stealth Acoustics has built a reputation for delivering high-performance audio, and the L-RAD series aims to continue this tradition. Whether used in home theater systems, multi-room audio setups, or background music environments, the L-RAD family is engineered to deliver robust, room-filling sound that meets the demands of both residential and commercial applications.
The L-RAD speakers feature a host of new technologies and components aimed at enhancing performance and ease of installation. The entire speaker system has been redesigned, with significant improvements in both internal and external components.
One of the key innovations is the integrated, acoustically tuned back box, which is now produced as an injection-molded component. This design change not only improves the acoustical properties of the speakers but also enhances their durability and ease of installation. Additionally, the new Fidelity Glass Advanced diaphragm, a tuned and dampened fiber component, promises to deliver clearer, more precise sound across all frequencies.
Other notable upgrades include a new woofer mounting system, which increases internal air volumes for better sound reproduction, and the Easy-Tape tapered frame/diaphragm edge, which simplifies the finishing process, ensuring a smoother, more seamless installation. The speakers also feature redesigned transducer/exciter drivers, which contribute to increased efficiency and performance.
Stealth Acoustics has planned a total of nine models for the LineaRadiance family. Currently, the L-RAD 116 and L-RAD 430 are available, with seven additional models, including a single-panel stereo speaker and two subwoofer models, set to be released within the next year.
The L-RAD 116 is positioned as a compact, entry-level option, featuring a 6.5-inch woofer mounted on a 16-inch by 16-inch frame. This 2-way speaker is designed to provide high-quality audio performance from a small footprint. It includes two independent protection circuits, which automatically reset when excessive amplifier power is reduced, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
On the other hand, the L-RAD 430 is a more robust 3-way speaker, featuring dual high-power 8-inch woofers, along with mid-frequency and high-frequency drivers mounted on a larger 16-inch by 30-inch frame. The advanced internal materials used in the L-RAD 430 allow it to deliver an extended frequency range, from as low as 35Hz up to 20kHz, making it suitable for more demanding audio applications.
New Features for LineaRadiance Speakers:
Brian Azzano, Vice President of Stealth Acoustics, said: “In 2023, we expanded our facility, increasing our speaker assembly areas and adding an injection moulding machine in order to be able to create the 8th generation of our invisible speakers."
"Each speaker is hand-assembled, inspected, and tested both by ear and computer to ensure top quality. These new invisible speakers offer improved sound and easier installation, proudly made in the USA. We're incredibly excited to announce these speakers.”
