Sumiko and Sonus faber recently announced the availability of an all new loudspeaker range named Venere. The Venere family consists of six models; two floor standing Models 2.5 and 3.0, two bookshelf - Models 1.5 and 2.0, which can be fitted to optional floor stands. Additionally, supporting these core models are the Center, center channel speaker and Wall, a wall mount speaker with a multi angle bracket.
The performance of the drive units is reportedly enhanced through the careful design and development of the front baffle board. Manufactured to be ultra rigid and resonance free, a coherent wave launch is achieved off the calibrated incline of the baffle. All Venere models share the same German designed 1" silk soft dome tweeter which allows for each Verere model to be used together as they were voiced to do so. Both Mid Bass and Low Frequency drivers employ "free compression designed" baskets allegedly allowing the composite polypropylene textile cones great speed, control and ultra dynamic performance.
