Tablo-AppleTV.jpgNuvyyo recently announced the addition of Apple TV and LG webOS apps for viewing Tablo TV content on your big-screen TV. The Tablo is an over-the-air HD DVR that comes in either a two- or four-tuner configuration and allows you to stream live TV and recorded content to mutiple devices over your home network. The new apps join existing apps for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV.

From Nuvyyo
Nuvyyo, the makers of the Tablo Over-the-Air (OTA) HDTV DVR, are excited to announce new Tablo apps for the 4th Generation Apple TV and LG webOS-powered Smart TVs. Fully optimized for lean-back viewing, these two new Tablo apps will enable users to discover, schedule, record and stream both live and recorded broadcast television programs on their big screen TVs.

"Over the past year, we've expanded our portfolio to include apps for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV along with a completely redesigned Tablo channel for Roku," said Grant Hall, CEO at Nuvyyo, the makers of Tablo. "With Apple's September announcement of an app store for Apple TV, as well as LG's robust operating system for its newer generation of Smart TVs, we can now deliver Tablo's live TV experience to these popular devices."

Tablo App for Apple TV
With Tablo, Apple TV users will be able to enjoy live news, sports and network broadcast programs and take advantage of the slick features and stylish interface of the new Apple TV app ecosystem. This new platform offers the fastest processor available among Apple's streaming media set-top-boxes, enabling the Tablo app's exceptionally fast performance during in-app navigation, as well as launching both live and recorded playback streams. And thanks to integration with Apple TV's voice-enabled remote, Tablo also allows users to easily skip commercials simply by asking Siri to jump ahead in the stream.

Starting this spring, Tablo customers will be able to enjoy broadcast programming using both a live TV grid guide and recordings screens. Additional screens and features will be rolled out in regular post-launch updates with the goal of bringing a fully featured Tablo experience to the streaming media device of choice for Apple fans.

Tablo App for LG webOS Smart TVs
LG Smart TVs powered by the webOS 2.0 operating system will be the first internet-connected televisions to receive a native Tablo app. Based on Tablo's web app, the interface provides full access to all of Tablo's OTA TV content discovery, playback and recording functions in a format designed specifically for big screen TV viewing. Consumers with 2014 LG Smart TVs running webOS 1.0 will also be able to enjoy this app via a free upgrade to webOS 2.0 from LG.

Both new Tablo apps will be available this spring. When available, download links will be posted at www.TabloTV.com/apps.
