TCL is back with another addition to its 2025 TV lineup, and this time, it’s the QM7K—a Mini LED TV series that builds on what the QM6K started. If the QM6K was TCL’s big CES reveal, which we awarded with the Best of CES Award, the QM7K is the next step up, packing more brightness, more dimming zones, and a brand-new audio system designed in partnership with Bang & Olufsen.

So, what’s different about the QM7K, and how does it fit into TCL’s growing lineup of QD-Mini LED TVs? Let’s have a look.

At the heart of the QM7K is TCL’s Halo Control System, which is designed to improve picture quality in three key ways: better color accuracy, improved grayscale accuracy, and significantly reduced blooming. If you’ve ever noticed a glowing halo around bright objects on a dark screen, that’s blooming—and TCL says the QM7K minimizes this effect thanks to a new Super Condensed Micro Lens and Micro OD (optical distance) technology.

Compared to last year’s QM751G, read our review here, the QM7K also boosts peak brightness for more impactful HDR visuals. It features up to 2,800 local dimming zones and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, which should make highlights pop and dark scenes look deeper and more controlled.

Another big change is the CrystGlow HVA Panel, an anti-reflective screen that helps reduce glare. This should make it a solid option for bright rooms where screen reflections can be an issue.

One of the biggest complaints about TCL’s QM6K was its underwhelming audio, which used an Onkyo-branded sound system. TCL seems to have taken that feedback seriously, because the QM7K is the first in the lineup to include Bang & Olufsen-designed speakers.

The new 2.2-channel audio system is designed to improve dialogue clarity, which was a weak spot in the previous model. It also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X, so you should get a more immersive sound experience straight from the TV’s built-in speakers.

For gamers, TCL has packed the QM7K with features that should make it a solid option for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC gaming. It has a 144Hz native refresh rate, Game Accelerator 288, and support for variable refresh rates (VRR) up to 288Hz. That should help reduce screen tearing and input lag, making gameplay feel smoother and more responsive.

Powering all of this is the TCL AiPQ Pro Processor, which handles image processing, upscaling, and motion smoothing. TCL says it can take lower-resolution content and upscale it to 4K, which is useful for anyone still watching older HD content.

Like other TCL TVs, the QM7K runs on Google TV, giving you access to Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and other streaming apps. It also includes hands-free voice control with Google Assistant, meaning you can control the TV with your voice without picking up the remote.

Speaking of the remote, TCL has redesigned it with a backlit keypad, making it easier to use in dark rooms. There’s also a new Art Mode and Art Gallery, which allows you to display artwork or personal photos when the TV isn’t in use—something that might appeal to those looking for a more aesthetic-friendly screen when it’s off.

The design itself has been tweaked with a thinner bezel-less look, and the 65-inch to 85-inch models now include a pedestal stand, giving users another placement option besides wall-mounting.

The TCL QM7K is available now at major retailers and TCL’s website. Here’s how the pricing breaks down:

As an extra incentive, TCL is offering a $500 Visa gift card for a limited time with select purchases.
