As someone who’s gone through more headphones than I’d like to admit, it takes a lot for a deal to stop me in my tracks and make me tell you to grab your wallet—but this one did. The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e, a premium pair of wireless noise-canceling over-ears, are down to $219.99 right now on Amazon ahead of 2025 Prime Day. That’s a jaw-dropping drop from their original $399 price—and I’m here to tell you why this is one of the best audio deals of the season.
Let’s get this out of the way first: I’m a fan of Bowers & Wilkins. Their sound tuning just hits the right notes for me—warm, clear, and detailed without being harsh or clinical. But even if you’ve never tried their gear before, the Px7 S2e are an amazing entry point into the brand. They’ve got the audio chops, the build quality, and the battery life to hold their own against the big names like Sony and Bose. And now, they’re cheaper than both.
The Px7 S2e (the “e” stands for “evolved”) take everything that was great about the original Px7 S2 and fine-tune it for even better performance. We’re talking custom 40mm drivers, updated digital signal processing, and a more refined sound profile that balances punchy bass with clean mids and sparkling highs.
I’ve tested them with everything from jazz to electronic to podcasts, and they never fail to impress. There’s real depth and texture here—the kind of detail that makes you rediscover your favorite songs.
Noise canceling is solid. Not quite up to the level of the Sony WH-1000XM5 or Bose QuietComfort Ultra, but it’s definitely good enough to hush the hum of the office, block out most of the noise on a commute, or help you focus at home. Call quality is also reliable, thanks to a six-microphone setup that helps isolate your voice from background noise.
One of my favorite things about these headphones? Physical buttons. None of that awkward swiping or tapping on the earcup that never quite registers properly. The controls are intuitive and satisfying—volume, playback, ANC mode, voice assistant. It’s all right there, and it just works.
They also have a 30-hour battery life, which is more than enough for a few days of use without needing to recharge. And when you do plug them in, USB-C fast charging gives you around 7 hours of playback in just 15 minutes.
These don’t look—or feel—like $219 headphones. The materials are premium, from the fabric on the earcups to the brushed metal accents. The fit is snug but comfortable, though I will say if you have a larger head, they might feel a little tight at first. For me, they broke in nicely after a few wears.
And yes, they come with a hard-shell travel case, which is something too many brands skimp on these days.
Here’s the thing: Bowers & Wilkins recently launched the Px7 S3, and it’s excellent. We actually gave it our Editor’s Choice award in our recent review. The S3 improves on the S2e with a new design, updated drivers, and better ANC. But it also costs $449, and right now, you can get the S2e for more than half that price.
If you’re chasing absolute top-tier performance and can stretch your budget, the S3 is worth a look. But if you want 90% of the experience for more than half the cost? The S2e is the smarter buy right now.
Honestly, at $219.99, it’s hard to go wrong. You’re getting:
If you’ve been holding out on upgrading your headphones or just want something that sounds great for travel, work, or chilling at home, this is the kind of deal that doesn’t come around often. I wouldn’t be surprised if stock runs out before Prime Day officially hits next week.
Deals come and go, but this one is sticking with me. I’ve used a lot of headphones over the years, and I’d put the Px7 S2e up there with the best in their price class—and now, they’re well below that price class.
Don’t overthink this one. If you’re even mildly tempted, grab them while they’re still available. You’ll have zero regrets.
