If you’ve ever tried to keep your cool—or your food cold—while camping, road-tripping, or just navigating a power outage, you know it’s easier said than done. EcoFlow, a brand that’s become a go-to for portable power gear, just rolled out two new products designed to make those situations way more manageable: the Wave 3 portable AC/heater and the Glacier Classic portable fridge/freezer.

Both are updated takes on earlier models, now with better performance, longer battery life, and more flexibility. Whether you’re in a van, a tent, or prepping for summer blackouts, these might be worth a closer look.

EcoFlow Wave 3

The Wave 3 is a 3-in-1 portable unit that can heat, cool, and dehumidify spaces up to 183 square feet—think small bedroom, camper van, tent, or boat cabin. It weighs about 32 pounds and packs a punch: 6,100 BTUs of cooling power and 6,800 BTUs for heating. That’s enough to change the temperature by around 15°F in just 15 minutes, according to EcoFlow.

One of its biggest features? It can run totally wire-free if you pick up the optional 1,024Wh LFP battery, which gives you up to eight hours of use on Eco Mode. That same battery is rated for around 4,000 charge cycles and can be recharged in a bunch of ways—AC wall outlet, car outlet, solar panels (up to 400W), or EcoFlow’s alternator charger.

The Wave 3 also brings some smart features to the table. There’s an Auto Mode that flips between heating and cooling to maintain a set temperature, a Dehumidifier Mode to help with muggy air, and even a Pet Mode that turns the unit on if it gets too hot (above 77°F) and sends an alert to your phone. You can control everything through the EcoFlow app over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

They’ve also made hardware improvements this time around, including better hose insulation and a redesigned drainage system. And yes, the refrigerant is more eco-friendly than before.

EcoFlow Glacier Classic

Then there’s the Glacier Classic, EcoFlow’s latest take on a portable fridge-freezer combo. It comes in three sizes—35L, 45L, and 55L. The 45L and 55L models offer dual-zone cooling, which means one compartment can be used as a fridge, and the other as a freezer. The 35L version gives you just one zone, but you can choose whether that’s cooling or freezing.

EcoFlow made some smart changes to the design this time. For starters, they ditched the ice maker (from the earlier Glacier model) to make more room for food and drinks—a good call for off-grid use. The unit also got an insulation upgrade with 2-inch thick foam walls, which help it keep things cool longer without eating through the battery.

Speaking of batteries, each Glacier Classic can be paired with a 298Wh battery that offers up to 43 hours of run time. Charging is just as flexible as with the Wave 3—you’ve got wall outlets, car chargers, and solar panel compatibility. There’s also a dual-opening lid to make it easier to get into the cooler when space is tight (like inside a van).

EcoFlow also says they’ve improved the temperature sensor this time around, addressing complaints from users of the original Glacier who had issues with the cooler freezing everything.

How Much Do They Cost?

Both the Wave 3 and Glacier Classic are up for grabs now with early bird pricing that lasts through May 25:

There are a couple of extras thrown in too—buyers of any Wave 3 get a free 110W solar panel, and Glacier Classic buyers get a free EcoFlow Power Hat, valued at $129.

So if you're building out a camper van, spending weekends at remote campsites, or just prepping for summer outages, EcoFlow’s Wave 3 and Glacier Classic are clearly built to give you more freedom from the plug. They’re compact, solar-ready, and smart enough to manage themselves—even when you’re not around.

Sure, the price tag might make you think twice, but if power and comfort on the go are priorities, these devices offer a lot more than your average cooler or window AC unit.
