This Black Friday, why waste time scrolling through endless look-alike lists when you can instead explore the World Wide Stereo showroom in a virtual tour that includes videos explaining the setups, as well as links to product information pages for many of the items you see.
They are running Black Friday specials right now, so there are likely some good deals to be found inside the tour!
For those curious about how it was made, this little slice of the Metaverse was created with a Matterport 3D VR camera, which captures 134-megapixel "photospheres" in HDR, along with 3D data using LIDAR. Because it knows the shape and size of the room, I can overlay the 360 photographic imagery and create a cohesive, high-resolution tour that sets the standard for quality. And yes, you can export with VR goggles, not just on your desktop or phone.
As for the store itself, worldwide stereo was recently (again) named the #1 consumer electronics online store by Newsweek, but the thing is I'm lucky enough to live in the region and I know from visiting that the reputation comes from the foundation of the company's staff and its two stores. This is a family business, and the gear they sell is carefully curated premium audio and video. You won't find any lemons in this showroom, and because it's virtual, you don't have to live here to see it.
And so, without further ado, presenting the "Holidays 2021" World Wide Stereo Montgomeryville showroom Matterport tour by Home Theater Review (and 100% produced by yours truly).
