Transparent has added a new model to its line of power conditioners. Employing many of the same design philosophies as the flagship OPUS PowerIsolator (OPI), the new REFERENCE PowerIsolator (RPI) is designed to silence broadband AC line noise while delivering unrestricted, in-phase power signals. It featues eight outlets in four individually isolated banks in a new curved enclosure with massive extruded aluminum sidebars. The RPI is available for $5,995.
From Transparent Audio
The Transparent OPUS PowerIsolator, OPI, was launched in 2016 and set the benchmark for high performance power line conditioning for music and film systems. The OPUS PowerIsolator design objective is to deliver more noise-free, in-phase power to components, thereby making the realizable power that reaches a component's power supply greater than other types of power conditioning. In addition to unparalleled power factor characteristics, the OPI employs a nonmagnetic, heavily damped carbon fiber enclosure that controls resonance, dissipates vibrations, and maximizes stability. Internally, Generation 5 OPUS Power Cable carries unrestricted power to 2 isolated outlets.
Transparent's new REFERENCE PowerIsolator, RPI, embraces the same design objective as OPI in a more affordable form. Sporting 8 outlets in 4 individually isolated banks of 2 outlets each, the REFERENCE PowerIsolator silences broadband AC line noise while delivering unrestricted, in-phase power signals. With its unrestricted, isolated circuits, RPI can deliver clean, in-phase power to any combination of audio and video components, including high current amplifiers.
The RPI resists vibrations and electromagnetic field restrictions through a new curved enclosure. Massive extruded aluminum sidebars topped with a rigid, non-metallic thermoformed polymer shell create the basis for a rock-solid enclosure. Internal cross braces and proprietary epoxy loading add mass and damp resonance and vibration.
Director of Product Development Josh Clark adds, "We are excited to be able to offer so much of the performance we achieved with the OPUS PowerIsolator and OPUS Power Cord in our new REFERENCE PowerIsolator and REFERENCE Power Cords. Musical dynamics seem completely unrestricted and come from a silent background. Musical instruments have the kind of harmonic richness and texture that I hear with live music."
Other features include integrated Network Source Protection (compatible with Gigabit Ethernet and PoE), hydraulic-magnetic circuit protection, and avalanche diode failsafe surge protection. The RPI is available for USA, UK, and EU power systems.
The suggested retail price for the REFERENCE PowerIsolator is $5,995 and includes a 2-meter input REFERENCE Power Cord.
